We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of debt that weighs so heavily upon you. The Word of God declares in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord sees your struggle and hears your cry. Financial bondage can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. While we appreciate your trust in God's power, we must gently remind you that our faith must be placed in Jesus Christ alone—not in prophets, not in men, not even in this ministry. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is to Him alone we must direct our prayers and trust. We encourage you to examine your heart and ensure your faith is firmly rooted in Christ, the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is burdened by debt. Lord, You see the weight of this school fees debt, and You know how desperately these certificates are needed to move forward in life. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, Father. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide the resources needed to settle this debt. We declare that this debt is not too great for You, Lord. You are the God who provides, the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way.
Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those in authority at the university. May they show mercy and grace, and may they be moved to find a solution that brings resolution to this matter. We rebuke any spirit of delay or hindrance in Jesus' name, and we declare that this situation shall be resolved according to Your perfect will and timing.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and favor. Give this one the words to speak, the actions to take, and the opportunities to seize. May Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and may they not be anxious but trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We stand on Your Word, Father, which says in Psalm 37:21, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." We declare that this one is righteous in Christ, and we ask that You would turn this situation around for Your glory. Provide not just enough, but abundantly, so that this debt may be cleared, and so that this one may testify to Your goodness and faithfulness.
We also pray for discernment in managing finances moving forward. Teach them to be good stewards of what You provide, Lord, and to honor You with their resources (Proverbs 3:9-10). May this trial draw them closer to You, deepening their trust and reliance on Your provision.
In all things, Father, we ask that Your will be done. May this situation be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name and draws others to You. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your perfect timing and provision. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord diligently in prayer and fasting, if possible, as you wait on Him. Remember that God is not slow concerning His promises (2 Peter 3:9), and His timing is perfect. While you wait, meditate on scriptures that speak of God's provision and faithfulness, such as Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Additionally, consider practical steps you can take to address this debt. Is there a way to negotiate a payment plan with the university? Are there resources or organizations that might assist with educational debt? While we trust God to provide, we are also called to be wise and proactive in our responsibilities.
Lastly, we want to gently address the mention of trusting in "God's prophet" or "you guys." While we are here to stand in the gap and intercede on your behalf, we must emphasize that our faith and trust must be in Jesus Christ alone. Prophets and ministries can encourage and pray for us, but they are not our saviors. Jeremiah 17:5 warns, "This is what the Lord says: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the Lord." Let your trust be in the Lord, and let Him be your strength and shield (Psalm 28:7). We are merely vessels, but He is the one who moves mountains. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
