Prayer for God help our financial credit

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep financial need, lifting your burdens to the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and provides for His children. The weight of debt without income is crushing, but we serve a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Your prayer is heard because you have come in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach the Father. This is right and good, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through faith in Him that we find salvation and access to the throne of grace.
Yet we must also address the heart in this trial. Financial struggles often reveal where our trust truly lies—whether in our own efforts, in the systems of this world, or fully in the Lord. Jesus teaches us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ ... For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33, WEB). This does not mean passivity, but rather an active pursuit of God’s will while trusting Him to provide. Have you sought Him first in this season? Have you asked for wisdom in stewardship, for opportunities to work, or for the humility to accept help if needed?
We also gently ask: Are there debts incurred through unwise choices, or is this purely the result of circumstances beyond your control? Scripture warns against the snare of debt (Proverbs 22:7) and calls us to live within our means. If repentance or a change in habits is needed, now is the time to surrender those areas to the Lord. He is faithful to forgive and restore.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift this beloved child of Yours to You, knowing You see their distress and hear their cries. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask for Your supernatural intervention in their financial crisis—open doors for honest work, provide unexpected resources, and grant wisdom to manage what You give. Break the chains of debt that bind them, and lead them into financial stability for Your glory.
Yet even more, Lord, we pray for their heart. Strengthen their faith to trust You completely, even when the path is unclear. Forgive any fear, anxiety, or misplaced trust in money or man. Teach them to seek Your Kingdom first, knowing You will add what they need. If there has been poor stewardship or ungodly reliance on credit, convict and restore them. May this trial draw them closer to You, not push them toward despair.
We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack in Jesus’ name, declaring that You are their Provider. Let them testify soon of Your faithfulness, that others may see and glorify Your name. Give them peace that surpasses understanding as they wait on You.
