Prayer For Friendship

Lord I pray for the development of a friendship. We would love to get to know this couple better and I pray that we would be able to spend time away from the pressures of work, to be able to laugh together and enjoy each other's company in a group. We have so much in common and we love seeing them, but I ask Lord that we could perhaps take a short break together to unwind.

Dear Jesus,

I ask that you nourish this friendship according to Your will. Surround Gilly and her husband with strong Christian friends who will encourage and edify, exhort and pray with them. Give them time to share joy and laughter which are good for our souls. And let them be there for each other when either is going through a trial. In Jesus' name, Amen.
