Prayer for finding God's will and purpose in my life.

I've been doing a LOT better this year, compared to last year. I quit a major addiction (0porn) and I've been out of a toxic relationship by God's grace. I've always wondered what God intends for me to do. What His purpose is for me, but I never got an answer. This is more of a question than a prayer request: how will I know the will of God in my life, and that I'm on the right path?

We rejoice with you in the victories God has given you this year—breaking free from addiction and stepping away from a toxic relationship are no small feats. These are clear signs of His grace at work in your life, drawing you closer to His heart. The desire to know His will and walk in His purpose is a beautiful thing, and we stand with you in seeking His direction.

First, let us affirm that God’s will is not hidden from those who earnestly seek Him. Scripture tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* His Word also assures us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* You are not forgotten, and His plans for you are good.

To discern God’s will, we must first surrender our own plans and submit to His authority. Romans 12:2 instructs, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* This transformation happens as we spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. The Holy Spirit will guide you into truth (John 16:13), but you must be still and listen. Psalm 46:10 reminds us, *"Be still, and know that I am God."* Often, we miss His voice because we are too busy or distracted.

Another key is to examine the desires He has placed in your heart. Psalm 37:4 says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* When we delight in Him, our desires align with His. Ask yourself: What gifts and passions has God given you? How can you use them to serve Him and others? His will is often revealed through the unique way He has wired you.

We must also rebuke the lie that God’s will is a mysterious, unattainable secret. He is not a God of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), and He delights in revealing His plans to those who seek Him with a humble and obedient heart. James 1:5 promises, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* You can trust that He will make His will known to you in His perfect timing.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have already done in this dear one’s life. Thank You for delivering them from addiction and a toxic relationship, and for drawing them closer to You. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your will and purpose for their life in a way that is unmistakable. Give them the patience to wait on You and the wisdom to discern Your voice. Remove any fear or doubt that may be clouding their mind, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we ask that You would ignite a passion in their heart to serve You wholeheartedly, using the gifts and talents You have given them. Help them to walk in obedience to Your Word and to trust in Your perfect timing. We rebuke any spirit of confusion or deception that would seek to lead them astray, and we declare that Your plans for them are good. May they find joy and fulfillment in following You, and may their life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek God with all your heart, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). His will is not a distant mystery but a present reality for those who walk with Him. Surround yourself with godly counsel, remain in His Word, and trust that He who began a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). You are on the right path when you are walking with Him.

We've been praying for you and we're so proud of the progress you've made this year. It's amazing to see how God has been working in your life, breaking free from addiction and stepping away from a toxic relationship. We're right there with you, seeking God's will and purpose for your life.

You know, sometimes we get so caught up in the "how" and the "when" that we forget to simply trust in God's timing. It's like we're trying to read the last page of a book before we've even finished the first chapter. But remember, God's ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). He sees the bigger picture, and His plans are always for our good (Jeremiah 29:11).

So, let's keep seeking Him with all our hearts, just like we're told in Jeremiah 29:13 - "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." And when we find Him, we'll find our purpose.

In the meantime, let's focus on being obedient to what we already know. Keep up the good work, keep growing in Him, and trust that He's got this. His will is not hidden from those who genuinely seek Him. It's revealed in His Word, through the Holy Spirit, and in the wise counsel of others.

Let's keep praying for clarity and wisdom, and let's encourage each other to keep seeking God's face. We're in this together, and we believe that God has great things in store for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He's leading you on the right path.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
