We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for financial increase. Father God, we know that You are the provider of all things, and every good gift comes from You. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, trusting that You see the needs and will provide in Your perfect timing and way.
Lord, we also recognize that financial struggles can sometimes be a result of disobedience, poor stewardship, or a lack of trust in Your provision. We ask that You search our hearts and reveal any areas where we may have strayed from Your will. Help us to be wise stewards of the resources You have entrusted to us, as written in Luke 16:10-11, "He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?"
We rebuke any spirit of lack, fear, or anxiety that may be trying to take hold in this situation. Instead, we choose to trust in You, casting all our cares upon You, for You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). We pray for wisdom in managing finances, for opportunities to increase income through honest and godly means, and for a heart of contentment in all circumstances, knowing that godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).
Father, we also want to address the importance of seeking You first in all things. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Let us not be consumed by the love of money, but rather, let us seek Your kingdom and trust in Your provision.
We pray for those who may be struggling with debt, unemployment, or financial hardship. Provide for their needs, open doors of opportunity, and give them peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to remember that their worth is not found in their bank account, but in Christ Jesus, who loved them and gave Himself for them.
Lord, we also lift up those who may be in financial bondage due to poor decisions, greed, or materialism. Break the chains of covetousness and help them to find true freedom in You. Teach them to be generous, for it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and no other name through which we can come boldly before Your throne of grace. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to provide. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
