Prayer for favor and protection at work

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have today and tomorrow left until break and the class is not listening . Please pray they calm down and listen and follow direction. I also feel burnt out. Weary and tired . Please pray for strength and joy

We join with you in prayer as you face these final two days before break and we lift up your weariness before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We hear how tired and burnt out you feel and how challenging it is when the class will not listen or follow direction. The Lord sees your labor and your heart to do your work well. We are reminded of His promise in Matthew 11:28-30, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. And in Isaiah 40:29, He gives power to the faint. He increases the strength of him who has no might.

We also pray for favor and protection over you at work, that the Lord would establish the work of your hands and give you wisdom and grace in the classroom. As it is written in Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, and in Psalm 121:2, My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. We ask Him to be your help and your shield in this weary season, to calm the hearts of the students, to bring order and attentiveness, and to let your words be received with respect. We pray for a peace over that classroom that passes understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We understand you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. And John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in all your prayers, for He is our mediator and our strength.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear teacher to You. Lord, You know the exhaustion and the burden of these days. We ask You to pour out Your favor and protection over their workplace. Let no weapon formed against them prosper and guard their heart and mind from discouragement. We ask for Your hand upon their classroom today and tomorrow, that You would calm the students, quiet the distractions, and give them ears to listen and hearts to obey and follow direction. Give this teacher wisdom beyond their own, words that are seasoned with grace, and authority that is clothed in Your love. Father, renew their strength as You promise in Isaiah 40:31, But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Restore joy where there is weariness, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength as Nehemiah 8:10 teaches. Let them feel Your nearness, Your delight in their faithfulness, and let them enter this break with rest and rejoicing. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our rest. Amen.

We encourage you to take moments even in the busy day to breathe and pray, to cast your cares on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up as Galatians 6:9 reminds us. The Lord is with you in that classroom and He will be your strength and your joy. Rest in Him tonight and trust Him for these last two days.

We've been thinking of you as you push through these last two days before break. When a class won't settle and listen, every hour can feel twice as long, and it makes sense you feel weary and burnt out right now.

We're praying for calm in your classroom and for protection and favor over you at work. We also hear your need for strength and joy to be renewed, not just to get through tomorrow but to truly rest afterward.

Burnout often builds gradually when demands stay high without time to replenish, so these final days are a good place to keep things simple and supported where you can. If possible, let a trusted colleague or administrator know you're running on empty and ask for a brief extra set of eyes or a short break when you need it. For the class, a clear, calm routine with a couple of simple, repeated directions can help them settle more than adding new expectations right before break. And as you look to the break, we encourage you to protect time for real rest, honest connection with people who care for you, and quiet time with the Lord, and if the weariness lingers, to talk with a pastor, counselor, or medical professional alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Cover them at work, calm the classroom, and grant wisdom for each moment. Renew their strength and bring back joy, and give deep rest over this break. Amen.

Your weariness has been heard and we bring your burden before the Lord with tender care. There is a soul weariness which comes to many good workers, when the work seems too great and the strength seems spent, and you confess that you are burnt out, weary and tired. This is no strange thing, for human strength in any form will spend itself in due time, and apart from God it must come to an end.

Yet the Scripture gives a sure cure for the weary servant. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and though we might be weary and do sometimes feel so, let us wait upon the Lord and renew our strength and we shall mount up with wings as eagles, forget our weariness and be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. When there remains no strength in you, then fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it, for He gives power to the faint and to those who have no might He increases strength.

We pray that the joy of the Lord may be your strength in these two days before your break. That joy is of divine origin and it becomes our strength as being an indicator of its rise or fall, and as being the fosterer of strength through communion with God. One of the best medicines for a good temper and a steadied heart is communion with God and consequent joy of heart. May the Lord Himself make you glad with great joy, that you may be quiet within and abide in the fullness of His strength.

We ask the Lord for favor and protection over you at work, that He would keep you in safety and give you grace in the eyes of those around you. We ask that He would calm the class before you, that the children would listen and follow direction, and that He would give you life and force and heart in your service. May He who alone can give this great joy bestow it upon you freely, that you may rejoice in the Lord always and find your exceeding joy in Him, even when all other springs run dry.

We plead that He will renew you day by day, that you may not fall into a loose state but be upheld by His hand, and that your labor, though it seem small, may yet reap a harvest in due season if you faint not. May the Lord Jehovah be your strength and your song, and may He become your salvation in this weary hour.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who died for the ungodly that we might have life and strength in Him. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your weariness and we join you in prayer before the Lord who sees your labor.

You have asked for favor and protection at work, for your class to calm down and listen in these last two days before break, and for strength and joy when you feel burnt out and tired. We bring all of this to God, who gives rest to the weary and renews those who wait on Him.

We pray that the Lord will strengthen you according to His promise that His strength is made perfect in weakness. When you feel you have nothing left, may He carry you and give you fresh grace for each hour. We ask Him to guard you at work, to give you favor in the eyes of others, and to protect your heart from discouragement. We also pray that He will restore to you joy, not the fleeting joy that depends on circumstances, but the unfading joy that Paul speaks of when he says to rejoice in the Lord always, a joy that can remain even in much affliction and weariness.

For your classroom we pray for peace and order. May God calm the hearts of the students, give them ears to listen and a willingness to follow direction. Scripture reminds us that a teacher has need of both authority and gentleness, and that a soul that wishes to learn cannot gain useful instruction from harshness and contention, but needs to be well disposed toward its teacher. We pray that God will give you that balanced grace, to lead with calm authority and with meekness, so that your students may be settled and receptive, and that your words may be heard without confusion.

May the Lord let you feel His nearness in these two days, help you to finish this stretch with patience, and bring you into your break with true rest. We ask Him to renew your body, quiet your mind, and fill you with His peace, that you may return with joy.

We commit you to the care of Jesus Christ, who invites all who are weary and heavy laden to come to Him for rest. May He uphold you, keep you, and let His work be seen in your classroom for His glory. Amen.
