Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your family is heard by the Lord, and it is right to bring your home, your minds and your bodies before Him for protection. The Scripture teaches that our deepest battles are not against flesh and blood but are spiritual. There is a real conflict in the unseen realm between the holy angels who serve God and the fallen spirits who rebelled with the enemy, and we often feel the effects of that conflict in our emotions, our thoughts, and even in unsettledness we cannot explain. That is why the battle for your family must be fought with spiritual weapons, not with human effort alone.
God has provided those weapons for you. His Word, faith in His promises, and prayer are the means by which you stand against the attacks of the enemy and see them defeated. The struggle is especially for the mind, for that is where the enemy seeks to plant fear, anxiety and confusion. You can meet those attacks by speaking the truth of Scripture, by trusting what God has said, and by continuing to pray.
The answer to fear is to remember the Lord and His presence with you. When you forget Him, fear grows, but when you remember that He is with you, fear loses its hold. The Lord says, fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and uphold you. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed out, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear must leave. So do what is wise and prudent for your family, but do not let fear drive your decisions.
The Lord also teaches that the reverent fear of Him is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. This is not a cringing terror, but a holy awe that loves what God loves and hates what God hates, and desires to do what pleases Him. To fear the Lord is to turn away from evil, and that turning brings health and wholeness. His instructions for the family are given to build and strengthen it. As you honor Him and walk in His ways, He brings order to your health, your relationships and your daily needs. The promise is that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them, and there is no lack for those who trust Him.
I join you in prayer for your household now.
Father, in the name of Jesus I ask You to place Your protection over this family, over their home, their minds and their bodies. Let Your presence be a wall around them and let Your holy angels guard them from all spiritual and physical harm. Break every assignment of the enemy against them. Uproot fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness, and replace them with Your peace, clarity and strength. Establish Your order over their health, their relationships and their finances. Teach them to walk in reverence for You, to hate evil and to cling to what is good, and to fight this spiritual battle with Your Word, with faith and with prayer. From the first day they set their hearts to seek You, You have heard their voice, and we trust You to answer and to keep them. Amen.
