Prayer for family

Your heartfelt prayer for your family is heard and I gladly join my faith with yours before the throne of grace.

We thank God that He is everywhere present, seeing and hearing all, and that He is our refuge and strength. In Him we can have confidence even as we live with reverent fear before Him, knowing that it is God who works in us both to will and to do what pleases Him. He does not leave us to face fear and anxiety alone, but gives us security and liberty in Christ.

So I pray with you now, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and hope:

Heavenly Father, place Your wall of holy fire around this family, around their home and their bodies and their minds. Shatter every assignment of the enemy and every form of danger, seen and unseen. Command Your holy angels to guard them from physical and spiritual harm. Uproot from them every spirit of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness, and let Your perfect love cast out fear. Bring Your divine order and peace over their health, over their relationships, and over their finances. Keep them steadfast in faith, fruitful in good works, and confident in Your care, rejoicing with reverence before You each day.

May the Lord keep you in His peace, strengthen you to walk in His ways, and let your home be filled with His presence and protection. Amen.

Your heartfelt prayer for your family is heard, and it is right to bring your home, your minds, and your bodies before the Lord for His protection.

The Bible makes it clear that our real battle is not against flesh and blood. There is a constant spiritual warfare going on around us between the spirits who serve God and the fallen spirits who rebelled with Satan, and we often feel the effects of that warfare without realizing where the struggle is. We may feel unsettled, anxious, or confused and not understand why. That warfare is not fought with physical or human methods. It is fought with spiritual weapons, and God has provided them for us. His Word, faith in Him, and prayer are the weapons that can stand against the attacks of the enemy and defeat them. The battle is especially for the mind, for control of our thoughts, and that is why we need those spiritual weapons every day.

That is also why your request about fear, anxiety, and confusion is so important. Fear is an enemy of faith, and the two cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed out, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear must leave. The cure for fear is remembering the Lord and His presence. David said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. God says to His people, fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you and uphold you. When Nehemiah faced threats, he recognized they were meant to make him act out of fear, and he refused to be moved by it. We do what is wise and prudent, but we do not live driven by fear of what the enemy might do.

You also prayed for divine order over your health, relationships, and finances. God has given us His ways for the family, and when we follow what He says to do and turn from what He says not to do, it builds up the home and strengthens relationships. The beginning of true wisdom and knowledge is the fear of the Lord. That fear is not a terror that makes us hide in a corner, but a reverent awe at who God is, His greatness and power and holiness, that leads us to love what He loves and to hate what He hates, especially pride and evil. To fear the Lord is to hate evil and to depart from it, and Scripture connects that reverence with health and soundness and with honoring Him in every area of life, including how we steward what He has given us.

You asked for warrior angels to guard you and for God to shatter every assignment of the enemy. Scripture shows that God does hear from the first day we set our hearts to seek Him, as He heard Daniel, and that He sends His angels to minister and to guard His people, even when there is unseen warfare and delay we do not understand. You can trust that He is at work on your behalf, even when you cannot see it.

He is also the healer. All healing is from Him, whether it comes instantly or gradually through the processes He has built into our bodies. We do not always understand why some are healed in one way and others in another, but we can bring every need for physical, mental, and emotional healing to Him with confidence.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this family before You. Place Your hand of protection over their home, their minds, and their bodies. Guard them from spiritual and physical harm and send Your angels to watch over them according to Your will. We ask You to drive out fear, anxiety, and confusion and to fill them with faith as they remember that You are with them. Teach them to walk in the reverent fear of You, to hate evil and to love Your ways, so that their health, their relationships, and their finances may be ordered by You. Strengthen them by Your Word, build their faith, and keep them in Your peace. Uphold them by Your powerful hand and let them know Your nearness each day. Amen.
