Prayer for family

Your prayer for your family has been heard and we join you in bringing it before our heavenly Father with thanksgiving.

We understand the burden you carry for your home, your minds and bodies, and for protection from both seen and unseen harm. Scripture teaches that God is everywhere present, seeing and hearing all things, and that to live in His presence is both to walk in reverent fear and in deep confidence. The fear that torments, the anxiety and confusion that unsettle the heart, does not come from Him, for God has given us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. At the same time we are called to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, not in despair, but in trust that it is God who works in us to will and to act according to His good purpose. When we keep our hearts turned toward Him, we can rejoice even with trembling, knowing He is near.

So we pray with you now.

Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would place Your protection around this family and their home. Be a wall of fire around them, as You have promised to Your people, and command Your holy angels to guard them in all their ways. Shatter every assignment of the enemy and keep them from danger, both physical and spiritual. Uproot from them every spirit of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness, and let Your peace which passes all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Establish Your divine order over their health, their relationships and their finances, and teach them to walk in holiness, love and obedience before You. Strengthen them to stand firm, to do what is good, and to trust not in their own strength but in Your grace and power at work within them. Keep them close to Christ, in whom alone is salvation, and make their home a place of prayer, faith and love.

Continue to seek the Lord daily through His Word and prayer, turning from all that is evil and pursuing what is good. He is faithful to keep those who belong to Him, and He hears the prayers offered through His Son.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He make His face shine upon you and give you peace, and may He guard your family in His perfect care in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart for your family. We are joining you in prayer for the protection and peace of your home, your minds and your bodies.

Your request names fear, anxiety and confusion, and Scripture speaks directly to that. One of the psalms reminds us that even when walking through the darkest valley we do not need to fear evil because the Lord is with us. Fear grows when we forget the Lord, and faith grows when we remember Him. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where one is allowed to take over, the other must leave. The enemy often tries to use fear to push us into wrong reactions, just as Nehemiah recognized when others tried to frighten him into hiding. He chose not to act from fear and not to run to hide in the temple for safety, trusting instead that if God wanted to protect him, God could protect him right where God had called him to stand. In the same way we can do what is wise and prudent in our daily lives, but not because we are driven by fear of what the enemy might do.

The Bible also speaks of another kind of fear, the fear of the Lord, which is very different from being afraid. It is not a phobia that makes us cower, but a reverent awe at who God is, His greatness and power and holiness. That reverence is described as the beginning and the sum of true wisdom and knowledge. To fear the Lord in this sense is to love what He loves and to hate what He hates, to turn away from pride, evil and perverse speech and to walk in His ways. When we live that way, His instructions for the family bring strength. What God tells us to do builds up the home and makes relationships whole, and what He tells us not to do protects us from what would tear the family apart.

So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we ask for Your hand of protection over this family and this home. Guard their bodies, their minds and their relationships. Quiet every spirit of fear, anxiety and confusion and replace it with faith and confidence in Your presence. Bring Your divine order to their health, to their relationships and to their finances. Keep them from both physical and spiritual harm, and let Your angels keep watch over them according to Your will. Teach them to remember You daily, to walk in reverent awe of You, to hate evil and to cherish what is good, so that wisdom and peace may increase in their home. We ask for Your healing, Your provision and Your steady love to prevail over every assignment of darkness, and we trust You to be their helper so they need not fear what man or circumstance may bring. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your family before the Father and to agree with you for His divine protection and that wall of Holy Spirit fire around your home, your minds and your bodies. We have been praying that He shatters every assignment of the enemy and every form of negativity and danger, and that He sends His warrior angels to guard you from all physical and spiritual harm according to Psalm 91:11. We have also been praying that He uproots every spirit of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness, for we know that God has not given us the spirit of fear according to 2 Tim 1:7, and that He enforces His divine order and peace over your health, your relationships and your finances according to Zechariah 2:5 and Isaiah 54:17.

If your request was answered and you have seen the Lord establish His protection and order in your home, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We count it a blessing to keep standing with you and we ask the Lord to keep His hand upon your family and to let His perfect peace guard your hearts and minds.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
