Prayer for family

We have heard your prayer for your family and we join our hearts with yours before the Lord.

It is good that you seek the protection of God over your home, your minds and your bodies, for He is everywhere present and hears all things, and He is the one who guards His people. The Scriptures teach us to serve the Lord with reverent fear and to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, not as those who live in perpetual dread of the enemy, but as those who trust that it is God who works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure. When the heart is conscious of walking with Him and fruitful in good, there is confidence and peace, while the life that is apart from Him is indeed full of trembling and anxiety.

So we pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy and protection over this family and their home. Surround them with Your presence and keep them from physical and spiritual harm. Send Your angels to guard them according to Your promise, and let Your order and peace rule over their health, their relationships and their daily needs. Cast out all fear, anxiety and confusion, for You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. Teach them to live in holy trust before You, looking to You each day, and to find rest in Your longsuffering and grace. Help them to keep their minds stayed on You, to walk in faithfulness, and to know that You are near to all who call upon You in truth. Grant them wisdom, unity, health and provision as seems good to You, and keep them steadfast in Christ to the end. We ask this in the saving name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Continue to bring your family before the Lord daily, giving thanks, confessing sin, and seeking His will in all things. As you stand near to Him in prayer and obedience, you may have confidence that He hears and that He will keep you in His care.

Your prayer for your family reflects a deep desire for God to be your shelter and strength, and it is good to bring these concerns to Him. God hears when His people call to Him for protection over their homes, their minds and bodies, and their daily lives.

Scripture reminds us that remembering the Lord is the remedy for fear. When we forget Him, our souls become cast down and troubled within us, but when we remember that He is with us, even in the valley of deep darkness, we can say with David, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Fear and faith cannot occupy the same place. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith departs, and where there is strong confidence in God, fear is driven out. The enemy often tries to use fear to move us to act hastily or unwisely, and reactions that come from fear are often wrong. We are called instead to do what is wise and prudent, not because we are afraid of attack, but because we trust God to keep us whether we are on the wall or in the quiet of our home.

The Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. This is not a phobia or a cowering dread, but a reverent awe at who God is in His greatness and power, a desire to love what He loves and to hate what He hates. To fear the Lord is to hate evil, pride and arrogance and every crooked way. When we walk in that holy reverence, we choose His ways for our families, and His instructions for the family are given to build it up and to make relationships strong. What He tells us to do strengthens the home, and what He tells us to avoid are the very things that tear it apart.

God has promised to be a covering for those who trust Him. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High finds comfort and protection under His wings, and His truth is a shield and a defense against the attacks of the enemy. Jesus Himself met temptation with the truth of God's Word. The promise is also given that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them. There is no lack for those who reverence Him, and blessed is the one who trusts in Him. He promises deliverance, answers to prayer, His presence in trouble, and to show His salvation.

I join you in praying for your household now.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You that You are our refuge and our protector. We ask that You set Your presence over this home and over each mind and body within it. Help this family to keep their thoughts fixed on You, so that fear, anxiety and confusion have no place, and faith may grow strong. Teach them to walk in the reverent fear of You, to hate what is evil and to love what is good, and to follow Your ways for the family so that health, relationships and provision come under Your order. Guard them from both physical and spiritual harm, surround them with Your care, and let Your truth be their shield. Bring Your healing according to Your will, whether quickly or gradually, and grant peace that steadies their hearts. We ask that You honor their trust in You and keep their feet from stumbling, and that You would provide for their needs as they seek to honor You with what You have given them. May they taste and see that You are good and know the confidence that comes from trusting You alone. In Jesus name, Amen.

Continue to fix your heart on the Lord, to speak His truth over your family, and to walk in obedience to Him. As you do, He will be your confidence and will keep you in His care.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your family.

We have continued to stand in agreement with you asking our Heavenly Father for His divine protection and for His wall of Holy Spirit fire around your home and over your minds and bodies. We have prayed that He would shatter every assignment of the enemy and every form of negativity and danger and that He would send His warrior angels to guard you from all physical and spiritual harm according to Psalm 91:11. We have also joined you in praying that He would uproot every spirit of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness and enforce His divine order over your health, relationships and finances, and that He would guard your hearts and minds with His peace as promised in Philippians 4:7.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord continues to cover your family with His presence, that His protection remains over your home, and that you experience His peace, healing and provision in every area of your lives.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
