Prayer for family

Your prayer for your family and home is heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

God invites us to remember that He is with us, and remembering Him is the cure for fear. When we forget the Lord, fear rises up and troubles our souls. When we remember Him, faith rises up. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is driven out, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear must leave. That is why Scripture says, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me, and fear not, for I am with you.

The enemy often tries to use fear, anxiety and confusion to move us to make wrong decisions. Fear can motivate us to act unwisely and to be paralyzed. God does not want you to be driven by fear of attacks or danger. He does call you to be wise and prudent in caring for your home, your health and your family, but not to live in dread. You can trust Him to be your protection wherever you are.

The Bible speaks of His protection as being under His wings, and His truth as your shield. When Jesus was attacked, He answered with the truth of God's Word. That same truth guards your mind and body today. The promise is also given that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who reverence Him and delivers them. As you walk in fellowship with Him and dwell in the secret place of the Most High, He promises His presence in trouble, His deliverance, and His care.

Part of that fellowship is what Scripture calls the fear of the Lord. This is not a phobia or a shaking dread that God is waiting to strike you. It is a reverent awe at who He is, His greatness and power and holiness, with a desire to love what He loves and to turn from what He hates. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, including pride and the ways that tear down a family, and to choose the ways God has given for the family which build it up and make relationships strong. It is the beginning and the sum of true wisdom and knowledge.

We pray for you now that God will guard your home, your minds and your bodies. May He lift fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness from you and replace them with faith, peace and a clear mind fixed on Him. May His truth be a shield over you, and may He keep you in health, in your relationships and in your daily provision according to His wise order. We ask Him to heal as He wills, whether instantly or gradually, for every healing is from His hand, and to teach you to number your days and walk in reverence before Him.

May the Lord be your helper, so that you can say with confidence, I will not fear what man or circumstance can do, because God is with me. Taste and see that the Lord is good, and blessed is the one who trusts in Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your family. We have continued to lift up your request for divine protection and for a wall of Holy Spirit fire around your home and over your minds and bodies. We have prayed that God would shatter every assignment of the enemy and every plan of negativity and danger and that He would send His warrior angels to guard you from physical and spiritual harm. We have also prayed that He would uproot every spirit of fear, anxiety, confusion and sickness and enforce His divine order over your health, relationships and finances.

We are encouraged by the promise in Psalm 91:11 that He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways and by Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and by 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that the Lord is faithful and will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
