Thank you for trusting us with this unspoken need for your family. Even though the details remain unspoken, the Father knows them fully, and we are glad to join with you in prayer and to agree together before Him, believing His promise that when two or three agree on earth concerning anything, it shall be done.
There is great power in prayer that comes from the heart. Scripture says the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. It is not the length of a prayer or many repeated words that makes it effective, and it is not meant to impress other people. It is the earnestness, the faith, and the sincerity of a heart that cries out to God in real need that He hears.
Prayer begins with relationship. Through Jesus Christ we are given the right to come to God as Father, and that relationship opens the door to true prayer. If that relationship is not yet settled, the one prayer God desires first is, God be merciful to me, a sinner. Through Jesus that relationship is established, and then we can come with confidence.
Jesus gave us a pattern for prayer, not words to simply repeat, but a structure to guide us. It begins with worship, recognizing who God is and honoring His name and His greatness. Then it moves to seeking His kingdom and His will to be done, because the purpose of prayer is not to get our own wishes fulfilled but to see His will accomplished on earth as it is in heaven. Only then do we bring our own personal petitions. Prayer in this way has three forms. It is worship as we adore Him, it is petition as we bring our own needs, and it is intercession as we bring the needs of others before Him.
Your unspoken request is an opportunity for intercession, to bring your family before the Lord and to allow Him to work according to His perfect will. True prayer starts with God Himself. He puts His desires in our hearts and writes His will there, and we then offer those desires back to Him. In that cycle He accomplishes what He has purposed. Prayer is simply consenting to let Him do what He has been wanting to do all along.
You do not need to inform God of what He does not know, and you do not need long or impressive words. Come simply and honestly as a child to the Father in the name of Jesus. The Holy Spirit helps us as we pray, even bringing to mind the needs we should lift up and praying through us when words are few.

We ask the Father in Jesus name to cover your home with His presence, to meet every physical and spiritual need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, to give wisdom and strength and guidance where it is needed, to bring healing and peace where there is hurt, and to accomplish His good will in each life. We pray that you will know the joy that comes from spending time with the Father and from seeing His hand at work in answer to prayer.
