Prayer for family

An unspoken need is not hidden from the Lord. When you bring your family before him in Jesus' name, you do not need to explain every detail as though he lacked information. He already knows what you need before you ask. Prayer is not mostly about informing God of your trouble; it is opening the door for him to do what he has been wanting to do all along.
Family needs can be especially heavy because they concern people you love deeply. So it is right to make intercession for them, placing them before the Father even when you cannot name the need out loud. The Holy Spirit helps us in that kind of prayer. When the burden is too deep or too private for words, he intercedes for us according to the will of God.
I will join you in agreeing before the Lord for your family. You do not have to carry this alone. The Scripture says the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much. That power is not in long words or carefully repeated phrases. It is in the relationship God has given you through Jesus Christ. Because he is your Father, you may ask freely and trust him with the answer.
Keep your heart fixed on his will for your family. Ask for his wisdom, his mercy, his protection, and whatever else the need requires, then leave the outcome in his hands. The Lord is faithful. He is able to do far more than we ask or imagine, and he does not turn away the sincere prayer offered in the name of his Son.
