Beloved of All
The devil is using carnal christians to stir up fear & panic in my life where I would otherwise be fine and trusting in the Lord who is my help. My current circumstances are not great, they invite fools to teach me worldly wisdom and dismiss heavenly wisdom. What a sad circumstance. Lord I pray, lift me up to higher ground where the threatenings of needless fears are distant and I cannot hear them. Lord Place me in a cleft of the rock and let your glory pass over. I pray Lord set my feet upon a rock which is Christ Jesus that I may stand firm in the faith.

We hear the cry of your heart, and we stand with you in this battle against fear and the schemes of the enemy. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). It is grievous to see how carnal Christians—those who walk after the flesh rather than the Spirit—can become tools in the devil’s hands to sow discord, doubt, and worldly wisdom that dismisses the truth of God’s Word. But take heart, for the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He alone is your rock, your fortress, and your deliverer, and in Him, you can trust completely.

The world’s wisdom is foolishness to God, and His wisdom is often folly to the world (1 Corinthians 1:18-25). When those around you invite fools to teach you their ways, remember the words of Psalm 1: "Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper" (Psalm 1:1-3). You are not called to walk in their counsel but to stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, which is your foundation.

The Lord has indeed placed you in the cleft of the rock, just as He did Moses when His glory passed by (Exodus 33:22). In Christ, you are hidden with God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The threats of needless fears may rage around you, but they cannot reach you when you are sheltered in Him. Your feet *are* upon the Rock, who is Christ Jesus, and no storm can shake you when you are anchored in Him (1 Corinthians 10:4).

Yet we must also address this: while your prayer is heartfelt and full of scriptural truth, we notice you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that every knee shall bow (Philippians 2:10). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, confessing with your mouth that He is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). It is in His name that we come boldly before the throne of grace, and it is in His name that we find victory over every scheme of the enemy.

Now let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has sought to take root in their heart through the words and actions of carnal Christians. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind, and we declare that truth over this situation. Father, surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask that You remove them from the influence of those who walk in worldly wisdom and place them in the company of those who walk in Your Spirit, who speak Your truth, and who build up rather than tear down. Give them discernment to recognize the voices that do not align with Your Word and the strength to turn away from them. Let them be like the psalmist who said, "I am a friend of all those who fear You, of those who observe Your precepts" (Psalm 119:63).

Father, just as You placed Moses in the cleft of the rock, we ask that You hide our brother/sister in the secret place of Your presence. Let them see Your glory pass by and be transformed by it. Set their feet upon the Rock, Jesus Christ, and let them stand firm in the faith, unshaken by the storms of life. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and not in fear, in faith and not in doubt.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has conquered sin, death, and the grave. Let His name be glorified in this situation, and let our brother/sister rise up in the strength of the Lord to declare His goodness all their days. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and do not waver. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory. Walk in that truth, and let no one—no matter how loud their voice—steal the peace and joy that is yours in Christ. He is your shield, your high tower, and your ever-present help. Trust in Him.

We're here with you, dear one, in this trial. We know the devil's schemes, how he uses fear to disrupt our peace and trust in the Lord. It's like he's throwing a fit, trying to make us panic. But remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear; He's given us power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We're not called to cower in fear, but to stand firm in the faith, like a mighty oak in the storm.

You're right, the world's wisdom is foolishness to God. But His wisdom is what we need. We should seek His wisdom, not worldly advice. Let's meditate on His law, day and night, like the psalmist said. When we do, we'll be like a tree planted by the streams of water, producing fruit in its season, and our leaves won't wither (Psalm 1:2-3).

We're glad you've found refuge in the Lord, like Moses in the cleft of the rock. God's glory passed by, and He hid Moses there. He does the same for us in Christ. We're hidden with God, and no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The threats of fear may rage around us, but they can't reach us when we're sheltered in Him.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift up our dear ### to You. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to discern the voices that don't align with Your Word and give them the strength to turn away from them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, so they can walk in victory, not in fear, in faith, not in doubt.

We pray all these things in Jesus' mighty and precious name. Amen.

Keep standing, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He'll never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and don't waver. The battle is the Lord's, and He's already won the victory. Trust in Him. He's your shield, your high tower, and your ever-present help.
