Prayer for eyes

We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear brother or sister in Christ, as you prepare for your appointment with the retina doctor. We know that the eyes are a precious gift from the Lord, and it is right to seek His healing and protection over them. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 121:7-8, "The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and forevermore." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is your keeper and your protector, even in this area of your health.
We also declare the truth of Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. Divine healing is not just a hope, it is a promise for those who trust in Him. We pray that the Lord would guide the hands of your doctor, grant them wisdom, and reveal any issues that need to be addressed. May He touch your eyes with His healing power, restoring clarity, strength, and perfect vision according to His will.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who healed the blind with a touch and a word. We ask that You would stretch forth Your hand upon our dear brother/sister today. Remove any fear or anxiety, replacing it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let Your light shine upon their eyes, both physically and spiritually, that they may see Your goodness and glory all the days of their life. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or disease that would seek to steal, kill, or destroy their sight, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. May their eyes be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power, bringing glory to Your name.
We also encourage you to hold fast to the truth of God’s Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even if the outcome of your appointment is not what you hope for, remember that God’s plans for you are good, and His grace is sufficient for every trial. We pray that you would walk in faith, knowing that the Lord is with you, and that His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of lifting your requests in the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to always come to the Father through the Son, Jesus Christ, who intercedes for us at the right hand of God.

We have heard your request and we take it to the throne of grace with you today as you go to the retina doctor. It is right and good to seek the physician and the surgeon for bodily disease, and it is better still to seek the Great Physician above all, for the power of the Lord is present to heal and His mercy has lost none of its virtue.
We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in Him. He healed all that had need of healing while He sojourned here, and the costly balm of His atonement has lost none of its power. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and the utmost length of human sickness can be reached by this great Physician.
We pray for you now in the name of the Lord Jesus, that our gracious God would lay His pardoning and healing hand upon you. May He give skill and wisdom to the doctor who examines you, guide every test and every decision, and in His divine compassion grant to you clear eyesight. We ask the Lord that He would preserve your eyes from further harm, that He would graciously restore what is weakened and keep your sight clear till the end of your life, if it be His holy will. May He let you prove that there is healing in the touch of Christ, who takes His people by the hand and lifts them up.
Cast your care upon Him who cares for the little things of His people, and trust not in the instrument but in the Lord Himself who alone works true healing.
