Prayer for exam

We lift up this precious brother before the throne of grace, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for His children, especially in times of weariness and trial. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world. It is encouraging that you have invoked the mighty name of Jesus in this request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to resist the schemes of the devil.

The stress and low confidence your brother is experiencing are not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The spiritual attack he faces, though unseen by him, is very real, and we must combat it with the Word of God and prayer. Let us remind him—and ourselves—that the battle belongs to the Lord. As it is written, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).

We also recall the promise in Philippians 4:13, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* This is not a promise of worldly success, but of divine enablement to endure and to walk in faith, regardless of the outcome. Whether your brother passes this exam with flying colors or faces disappointment, we pray that his trust would remain steadfast in Christ, who holds his future. Let him cast all his anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for him (1 Peter 5:7). The weariness he feels is an invitation to rest in Jesus, who said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is weary, stressed, and under spiritual attack. Lord, You know his name, his heart, and the struggles he faces—both seen and unseen. We ask that You surround him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen him in body, mind, and spirit, and remind him that his worth and identity are found in You alone, not in the outcome of this exam.

We rebuke every spiritual attack against him in the name of Jesus. Satan, we command you to flee, for you have no authority over this child of God. Holy Spirit, fill him afresh, renew his mind, and grant him clarity, recall, and wisdom as he takes this exam. Let him remember that You, Lord, are his helper—he will not be afraid. What can man do to him? (Hebrews 13:6).

Father, if there is any sin in his life that has given the enemy a foothold, convict him gently and lead him to repentance. May he walk in the light as You are in the light, that the blood of Jesus may continually cleanse him from all sin (1 John 1:7). Let this trial draw him closer to You, deepening his dependence on Your strength and not his own.

We pray that, regardless of the results, he would glorify You in all things. Teach him to trust in Your sovereign plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this season of testing become a testimony of Your faithfulness in his life.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to share this prayer with your brother, that he may be strengthened by the knowledge that the body of Christ is interceding for him. Remind him to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) daily, especially the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the enemy. Let him also meditate on Scripture, for it is the sword of the Spirit, powerful against every lie and accusation. If he is not already immersed in a community of believers, urge him to seek fellowship, for we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

May the Lord bless you both as you walk in faith and obedience to His Word.
