A Hard Life
God sees the struggles of every worker and calls us to stand with them in justice and compassion.
Employers and Employees
Kindness between employers and employees builds mutual respect and demands fair treatment from both sides.
Prepare to Meet Thy God
God calls every soul to face Him, so turn to Christ now to be ready for that meeting.
We have heard your heart and the deep pain and stress you have been carrying from this hostile work environment, and we are joining with you in prayer for this meeting with corporate and human resources. We understand the desire for justice and for relief from a place you have dreaded going to each day, and we want to lift this burden to the Lord with you.

We want to gently and lovingly correct the desire expressed for these coworkers to be punished and fired and never work again. While God hates injustice and He sees every wrong done to you, His word calls us to a different posture toward those who have mistreated us. We are told not to repay evil for evil and not to seek vengeance for ourselves, for vengeance belongs to the Lord. Romans 12:19 says do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. And Romans 12:21 says do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Matthew 5:44 says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Ephesians 4:31-32 says let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Hebrews 12:15 warns us to watch lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled. Wanting others to be completely terminated and permanently punished can allow bitterness to take root in our own hearts and keep us in bondage, even if we were the ones wronged. God does call for accountability and justice, Proverbs 21:15 says when justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous, but He also calls us to desire mercy and restoration where possible and to leave the final judgment in His hands.

We also noticed that your request speaks of God and the Holy Spirit, but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and can boldly approach God's throne of grace. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus not only for this meeting but for your whole life.

We do pray for justice to be done in a righteous way, and for your workplace to become healthy and peaceful. We pray that you will speak truth in love without exaggeration, for Ephesians 4:25 says speaking truth with his neighbor, and Proverbs 12:22 says lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh. We pray that you will be quick to listen and slow to speak and slow to anger, as James 1:19 teaches, and that your speech will be gracious and seasoned with salt, Colossians 4:6, so that those in authority can hear clearly what has happened. We pray that God will give wisdom to you and to the leaders you meet with, for James 1:5 says if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We pray that God will soften hearts where softening is needed, but also that He will give those leaders discernment to act fairly and not merely from pity or pressure, but from truth and integrity.

We join together now and pray for you. Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we lift up this dear one to you. You see the hurt, the stress, the hostility endured at work, and you know every detail of this meeting. We ask that you would fill this one with your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Guide tongue and thoughts, give clarity and calm, help to speak truthfully and respectfully and to refrain from words spoken in anger or bitterness. We ask that you would move upon the hearts of the corporate and human resources leaders, grant them wisdom, fairness, compassion, and courage to do what is right and just in your sight. We ask not for vengeance, but for true justice and mercy to be shown, for healing of this work environment, and for a path forward that honors you. We also pray for the coworkers who have caused harm, that you would convict where conviction is needed, bring repentance, and draw them to yourself, for you desire all to come to repentance. Remove bitterness from our friend's heart and help to forgive as you have forgiven us, and restore hope and joy for daily work. We commit this meeting and its outcome into your hands, trusting Proverbs 16:7 that when a man's ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him, and Psalm 37:5 to commit our way to you and trust in you. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to entrust the outcome to the Lord, whether it results in discipline, training, reconciliation, or other just action, and to continue to do your work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23. We pray that God will make this workplace a place of peace and dignity, and that He will heal your heart and strengthen you each day, and that whatever happens, you will walk in forgiveness and freedom in Christ.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, dreading work each day and carrying the stress of how you have been treated. It makes sense you want to be heard clearly in this meeting and to see real accountability and change.

We are praying for you as you go in tomorrow. One thing that often helps in a meeting like this is to bring a short, written note with two or three specific examples, with dates if you have them, what was said or done, and how it affected your ability to do your work. Keeping it factual and calm can help HR and leadership understand the pattern and what you are hoping will change going forward. It can also help you stay steady if nerves rise. If you can, plan a little time afterward to step away, breathe, and talk with someone you trust.

We know you want a decisive outcome, and we are asking God for what is right and fair to be seen clearly, for wisdom for those listening, and for peace and steadiness for you whatever they decide.

Father in Jesus name, You see what has happened and how worn down our friend feels. Give clarity and calm in that room, guide words and listening on both sides, and lead those making decisions to act with wisdom and fairness. Guard our friend's heart and health through this, and make a way for a healthier, more respectful workplace. Amen.
