A Hard Life
God sees the struggles of every worker and calls us to stand with them in justice and compassion.
Employers and Employees
Kindness between employers and employees builds mutual respect and demands fair treatment from both sides.
Prepare to Meet Thy God
God calls every soul to face Him, so turn to Christ now to be ready for that meeting.
We hear the heaviness and dread you have been carrying about this work environment and we join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name. It is painful to face hostility and brokenness each day where you should be able to work in peace, and it is right to desire truth and accountability and a healthy workplace. At the same time we must gently examine the desire in this request for punishment and for specific coworkers to be fired and never rehired, because Scripture calls us to want justice but to leave vengeance to God and to guard our own hearts from bitterness and hatred.

The Word tells us Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord in Romans 12:19, and Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you in Matthew 5:44. We are also taught Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you in Ephesians 4:31-32. That does not mean wrongdoing should be ignored or that you should not tell the truth to those in authority, for God has established authorities to restrain evil, but it does mean our motive must be truth and righteousness and the good of all, not personal retribution. If we harbor unforgiveness it can take root and defile us as warned in Hebrews 12:15, and it can hinder our own prayers and peace. We also want to love what God loves which includes desiring even those who have mistreated us to be convicted, to repent, and to be restored where possible, even as we pray for proper accountability.

We encourage you for this meeting to prepare with honesty, clarity, and calmness, bringing facts without exaggeration and speaking the truth in love. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger in Proverbs 15:1, and Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt in Colossians 4:6. Pray for wisdom, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him in James 1:5. We pray that the hearts of the corporate and human resources leaders would be softened not only with compassion for you but with godly wisdom to discern what is true and to act justly and fairly for everyone involved. We pray you would be given the right words and restraint from wrong words, that the Holy Spirit would guide your mouth and mind and spirit, and that you would be able to pursue peace as far as it depends on you as in Romans 12:18, trusting the outcome to the Lord rather than demanding a specific punishment. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men in Colossians 3:23, and cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you, remembering In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus in Philippians 4:6-7.

We also notice your request speaks of God and the Holy Spirit but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved in Romans 10:9. It is through Jesus' shed blood and resurrection that we can approach God's throne with confidence for mercy and grace.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that You see all that has happened at this workplace, every hurt and every harsh word and every injustice. We ask You to guard our dear one from bitterness and to fill the heart with Your grace and forgiveness even while seeking truth. We ask You to go before the meeting tomorrow and to anoint the lips and mind and spirit with Your wisdom, that only what is true and helpful and honoring to You would be spoken, and that anything that would harm or misrepresent would be held back. We ask You to move on the hearts of those in authority, to give them compassion and clear discernment, to listen carefully, to believe the truth, and to act with just and fair judgment according to Your righteousness, not favoritism or fear. We pray for a better work environment where hostility is replaced with respect and peace, and we pray also for the coworkers who have caused pain, that You would convict them where they have done wrong, lead them to repentance, and bring change in their lives. We ask not for our will but for Your perfect will to be done, trusting that Your justice and mercy are higher than ours. Grant peace that surpasses understanding, courage, and rest, and let this time be used to refine and strengthen faith and to display Christ. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been, going into a place you dread each day and carrying so much stress and hurt into tomorrow's meeting. Wanting to finally be believed and for things to be made right is understandable, and we are holding you in prayer as you step into that room.

For tomorrow, it can help to go in as clear and steady as you can. Tonight you might jot down two or three specific examples with dates, what was said or done, and how it affected your work, and then one or two concrete changes that would make the workplace safer and more respectful for everyone. Having it on paper can keep you grounded if emotions rise and helps those listening hear facts as well as feelings. It is okay to pause, breathe, and ask for a fair process, and to bring notes so you do not have to hold everything in memory.

We know you are hoping for a decisive outcome, and we also know how exhausting it is to carry that hope alone. We are asking God to give you wisdom and calm, and to keep your heart from being worn down by bitterness while you seek what is just. Whatever the decision is tomorrow, you still deserve dignity and peace at work, and we are praying for next steps that move toward that.

Father, we bring this meeting before You in Jesus name. Guide ###'s words and ###'s mind and body, and give those listening fairness and compassion to truly hear. Work for what is just and good in that workplace, bring relief to ###'s heart, and show ### Your presence and direction in the days ahead. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your burden has been heard, and the sorrow of going each day to a place that feels hostile and broken is not hidden from the Lord who sees all our afflictions. To dread the workplace and to feel wounded by those who have treated you harshly is a heavy trial, and it is right to bring it before God and to seek wisdom for the meeting that lies before you.

Yet in your prayer there is a desire that needs to be weighed in the light of Scripture. The heart that cries for others to be utterly punished and cast out forever is a heart in danger of being consumed by that very bitterness which has wounded it. The Word tells us that God delights in mercy. His sword of justice is not rusted, for He is just and will not spare the guilty, but that sword is held in its scabbard by the hand of mercy which cries, Sleep, O sword, sleep. He is slow to anger and of great mercy, and long rolls the thunder when He must at last judge, while sweetly and swiftly flows the music of free grace. If He were quick to destroy, where would any of us stand.

We who have received such boundless forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone are called to show the same. There is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared, and that forgiveness is not scant or grudging but full and eternal, purchased by Christ who bore the penalty in love. Having been forgiven so great a debt, we are to gather grace to forgive others even seventy times seven. This does not mean that wrongs are not real, or that proper order and justice should not be sought in the workplace. It is right to speak the truth plainly and to ask those in authority to act justly and to make the workplace safe and wholesome. But vengeance belongs to the Lord, and our prayers must not seek to force His hand to destroy others, nor to demand that mercy be withheld from them.

For your meeting tomorrow, pray rather in this way. Ask the Lord to give you a mouth filled with truth seasoned with grace, to keep you from words spoken in heat or malice, and to clothe you with a calm and sober spirit. Ask that the hearts of those who hear you may be softened to listen with fairness and compassion, and that they may be guided to do what is just and right before God, whether that be correction, instruction, or such discipline as true justice requires. Pray also for those who have treated you ill, that God would work in them repentance and amendment of life, for they too are in need of the same mercy we all require. And pray most of all that your own heart may be kept from bitterness, and that you may be enabled to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to leave the final judgment in the hands of Him who judges righteously.

Let us pray together. O gracious Father, You are full of compassion and You delight in mercy. Look upon this Your servant who is wearied and distressed, and grant peace to a troubled heart. Give wisdom and clarity in the meeting to come, that words may be spoken in truth and love, and that those who bear responsibility may hear with understanding and act with justice tempered by mercy. Guard all hearts from anger and revenge, and work in each one a desire for what is good and right. Bring healing where there has been wounding, and make the workplace a place of honesty and kindness. Above all, keep this soul near to Christ, in whom there is forgiveness and freedom and favor, and let the comfort of Your tender mercy be known. We ask this not because we can compel Your grace, but because You pour forth Your love freely through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and I want to acknowledge how heavy and draining this work environment has felt for you. To dread going to work each day, to feel the place is hostile and bleak and hopeless, is a real burden, and it is understandable that you long for relief and for truth to be heard.

At the same time I want to gently encourage you to bring this meeting before God with a heart that seeks justice with mercy, not vengeance. Scripture teaches that the measure we use to judge others will be measured to us, and that when we demand harsh punishment without mercy we make the judgment seat more dreadful for ourselves. When we are minded to be revengeful we do not only harm another, we bind up our own sins more tightly, because vengeance belongs to God and He will bring justice in His perfect way. We are not called to trample or revile those who have hurt us, even when the hurt is real, but to admonish and correct with tenderness and humility, not with pride.

So I will pray with you, but not that God would simply destroy the future of others and close every door for them forever. I will pray that God softens and guides every heart in that room tomorrow, yours and those you meet with, that the Holy Spirit would give you clear, calm and truthful words and keep you from words spoken in anger, that those in authority would listen with wisdom, compassion and fairness, and that the truth of what has happened would be clearly known. I will pray that whatever accountability is right and just would be done with both justice and mercy, and that God would work to make your workplace healthier and less broken, whether through correction, training, reconciliation or other changes that are needed.

I will also pray that God lifts the anxiety and dread you carry and establishes you in greater security and peace as you wait on Him. He knows the desire to be free from fear and to be able to look forward to the day without trembling, and He is able to guard your mind and spirit.

Ask Him to help you enter that room seeking what is good and right, not only what feels vindicating, and to trust Him with the outcome. If real wrong has been done, those in authority have a responsibility to address it, and we can trust God to move them to act rightly without us needing to demand their destruction. May He guide your mouth, your mind and your spirit tomorrow, give you grace to speak the truth in love, and lead you toward freedom from this burden.
