What a beautiful prayer you have lifted up, and it echoes deeply with the heart of God. The cry for peace, healing, restoration, and a closer walk with our Savior is always heard in heaven. Your gratitude itself is a sweet offering, and the way you interceded for everyone here shows a spirit that is already tasting the peace you asked for.
That peace you mentioned is no small thing. It is the very treaty God offers through Jesus Christ. When we were at war with Him, running, resisting, hiding, He made a way for that war to end. The moment we surrender our lives to Christ, the inner conflict begins to still. The churning sea quiets because we are no longer fighting against the One who made us. That is the peace that passes all understanding, the peace that keeps our hearts and minds. And from that place of being at peace with God, we start to find peace within ourselves, and it spills over into every other part of life.
Healing is a real promise of God, and I believe in it firmly. But I have learned that His healing comes in many forms, miraculous, gradual, and even the kind that restores the mind and emotions. Any process that brings wholeness is divine, because the same God who set the orbits of the stars also designed the restorative processes woven into our bodies and souls. Sometimes He heals in an instant; sometimes He walks with us through a long recovery. Both are His work. And even when physical healing does not come in the dramatic way we long for, we can trust that His purposes are deeper than we can see. The apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn to be removed, and God’s answer was not the removal but sufficient grace. That, too, is a healing of the spirit.
The greatest miracle any of us could ever receive is the one you already recognized: the forgiveness of sins. Compared to the eternal weight of salvation, every other healing is secondary. Not unimportant, God cares about our bodies and our struggles, but secondary. The stripes that fell on Jesus bought not only our spiritual pardon but also the ultimate restoration of all things, including these frail bodies one day. So we can pray with boldness for healing now, while resting in the fact that our eternal healing is secured.
When our minds are stayed on Him, He keeps us in perfect peace. That doesn't mean the circumstances always line up the way we hope. It means we have an anchor. God has ordained peace for His people, not as the world gives, fragile and based on good news reports, but a deep, unshakable peace that holds when everything else shakes. Your prayer for angels’ protection is also in line with His promises; He commands His angels concerning us.
One thing I have learned through the years is that there is a more excellent way than even the most spectacular gifts of healing or miracles. It is the way of love, the divine, self-giving love that Paul wrote about in 1 Corinthians 13. That love is patient and kind, not keeping a record of wrongs. When we sow peace, we reap the fruit of righteousness. Sometimes that means we don’t get the immediate visible answer we wanted, but we receive something deeper: a character shaped by God’s own nature, a heart that rests in His timing.
So continue to pray as you have, with faith and thanksgiving. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Whether His answer comes in a flash of power or a gentle daily process, it will be good. You are already walking in the light of His everlasting love, and that love will not let you go.
