He said, "I do not say to you that I will pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came out from God." You are not shouting into the void. Your words are heard in the throne room by a Father who loves you perfectly.
Right now, your father’s mind is clouded, and you are praying for the darkness to be pushed back. That is a prayer that aligns with the very reason Jesus came: to destroy the works of the devil. No one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws him. So ask the Father to do the drawing. Ask Him to shine light into that confusion, to let your father see the consequences not as a cruel punishment but as the natural, bitter fruit of choices made outside of God’s design. Sometimes a man will only hear the truth when the false comforts fail him, and that failure can be a severe mercy.
