We come before the Lord with your request, seeking His divine guidance as you embark on your forex trading journey and business expansion. It is commendable that you desire wisdom, discipline, patience, and discernment, qualities that are indeed essential in all areas of life, especially in business. We join you in praying that the Lord would establish your plans and direct your steps, as Proverbs 16:3 reminds us: "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."

Heavenly Father, we ask that You grant our brother/sister the wisdom to navigate the complexities of forex trading. May Your Holy Spirit be his/her counselor, guiding every decision with clarity and sound judgment. Help him/her to resist the temptations of greed, impulsivity, or fear, which can so easily derail even the most well-intentioned plans. Instead, fill him/her with the discipline to wait on Your timing and the patience to trust in Your provision, knowing that "the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; but those who are hasty in everything surely lead to poverty" (Proverbs 21:5).

Lord, we also pray for Your blessing on his/her business expansion. May it not only prosper financially but also serve as a vessel for Your glory. Let this endeavor be a means to bless others, provide for needs, and advance Your kingdom. Remind him/her that true wealth is not measured by earthly riches alone but by the treasures laid up in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21). May he/she always seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto him/her (Matthew 6:33).

We must also address the importance of integrity and ethical conduct in all business dealings. The world often promotes cutthroat tactics, deception, or exploitation for profit, but Your Word calls us to a higher standard. "The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with Him" (Proverbs 11:1). May our brother/sister walk in honesty, fairness, and transparency, reflecting Your character in every transaction. Let his/her business be a light in the marketplace, drawing others to Christ through godly conduct.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of greed, idolatry, or reliance on wealth that may try to take root in his/her heart. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and we pray that You would guard his/her heart against it. May he/she always remember that his/her true security and identity are found in You alone, not in financial success or material possessions. Help him/her to use wealth as a tool for Your purposes, not as a master to be served.

Lastly, we pray that this journey would deepen his/her dependence on You. May he/she cultivate a habit of seeking Your face in prayer, studying Your Word for guidance, and surrounding himself/herself with godly counsel. Let this be a season of growth, not just in business, but in faith, character, and intimacy with You.

Your petition speaks of forex trading and business expansion, with a verse from Proverbs, yet I hear in it the echoes of that spiritual trading I have so often warned against, speculation without capital, a grasping after wealth by methods that mimic the world’s vain confidence. “Is it not often done in business?” they say, but such reasoning is rotten to the core. Wisdom does not lie where puffery and deception walk hand in hand with gain. Look closely: do not those who trade thus live precisely like those who make no pretensions to religion? The Lord searches the heart; He weighs the motives. A man may wrap his schemes in a verse, but if the venture smells of haste and self-reliance, it savors not of the Spirit.

Divine guidance is indeed the Christian’s birthright, as David knew from his shepherd days, but it comes only where grace dethrones obstinacy and bows the soul to God’s will. The hand of the Lord is not a charm to wave over ledgers and charts to secure profit; it is a rod of instruction that teaches us to avoid every evil way. Haste, that author of mischief, often drives men to rash trading, mistaking their own cunning for wisdom. But true wisdom is of a different kind: it is the fruit of holiness, and holiness knows that policy is not wisdom, nor craft understanding. If you would be guided, seek first that the Spirit write His law upon your heart, for wisdom’s price is above rubies; it cannot be mined from the markets of men.

Consider the Divine sovereignty that orders all things. Does He not give and take away? Render calamity impossible, and how would He mark displeasure against covetousness? The Lord knows how to bless the struggling tradesman without leading him into the snare of speculation. The unexpected is His domain, He can raise up and cast down without our frantic scrambles. Trust in God is true wisdom, not that feverish hunting after wealth which wastes strength that might be employed for His glory. Remember, the Divine presence dissolves difficulties, but it also purifies desires. A grain of divine grace, a spark of faith in Christ, is better than a whole volcano of worldly wisdom. Do not say, “I cannot be saved because I cannot understand all mysteries,” but rather flee to Jesus, for in Him all true riches dwell.

If the Lord has called you, He will let you go free from the bondage of this present evil age. The world will taunt, “What business have you with this religion? Go on with your bricks.” But let your soul answer, “Let God’s people go from the love of money, which is idolatry.” Seek not a tool for wealth, but a heart conformed to Christ. Divine love can rake a dunghill and find a diamond; it can take a sinner lost in worldly cares and make him a prince with God. Plead with Him, then, not for success in forex, but for that blessed guidance which leads through the wilderness to Canaan, where He Himself is the portion, and eternal joy outweighs all temporal gain.

You ask for guidance in a venture of trading, but let us examine what sort of wisdom you seek. The wisdom of this world, which trusts in markets and human calculation, is that wisdom which God has made foolish. For where is the profit of a wisdom that terminates here, and cannot even here certainly profit its possessors? The foreign exchange is a sea of uncertainty, not a field of sure harvest; many have cast their bread upon those waters and found only emptiness after many days. You invoke the proverb that bids us commit our works to the Lord, yet truly to commit a thing is to lay it down and leave it to His ordering, not to enlist His blessing on schemes of our own devising. If you truly desire wisdom, discipline, and patience, seek the wisdom from above that is hidden, the wisdom which God foreordained before the ages for our glory. That wisdom is not acquired by studying charts and rates, but by studying the Scriptures which alone can nerve and comfort us to exhibit patience.

Do you not see that oftentimes our unbelief arises from want of patience? We say we trust God, yet if He does not give at once the wealth we desire, we grow faint and seek after other means. But true faith waits even a hundred years without despairing. To love God is to endure and not to be troubled. I hear you speak of creating lasting wealth and blessing others, but the wealth that lasts is stored in heaven, not in accounts of currency. The rulers of this age and their financial systems are coming to nothing; their wisdom is foolishness with God. Consider Him who was made unto us wisdom, Christ Himself: He became poor that we might become rich, yet not with silver and gold. The foolishness of God a far mightier thing than the wisdom of man.

If you would bless others, then first discipline your own soul. Instead of training your mind for trading, train your heart in patience under affliction. For patience is shown not in two or three days, but in long seasons of waiting. Are you prepared to endure loss without agitation? To see your plans fail and yet bless the Lord? That is the patience into which we are called, the very patience of Christ. The fathers are blameworthy who carefully train horses but leave their own souls unbridled; do not so with yourself. The theatres of commerce can be as wicked as those of spectacle, distracting and inflaming desires.

Therefore, I urge you: let this forex journey be abandoned, or at least set far from your hope. Rather, let your business be that of prayer and almsgiving, of seeking first the Kingdom. If you have means to invest, invest in the poor, where no market crash can steal your treasure. There is nothing of divine and heavenly character in trading currencies; it is all human and earthly. But the lessons that come by the divine Scriptures are invincible strength and a rich supply of unnumbered good things. Read them daily, and they will produce in you hope, and hope patience. So I pray that you may not fall away through the conflicts within and without, but being comforted by the holy words, you may abide in hope awaiting the true wealth that He will grant in His own time.

Your heart’s desire to commit this venture to the Lord is good, and Proverbs 16:3 is a strong foundation. It is right to ask for wisdom, discipline, patience, and discernment as you begin. But let me gently press that request a step further: make wisdom your principal pursuit, not merely a tool to obtain something else. The book of Proverbs personifies wisdom and calls out that she is better than rubies; all that can be desired cannot compare with her. It’s easy to seek wisdom for what it can bring, but true wisdom starts with the fear of the Lord and invites us to know Him, not just His benefits.

When King Solomon asked for wisdom to govern God’s people, he did not ask for wealth or fame, yet those things were added to him. He made the primary thing the primary thing. So pursue wisdom, understanding, and the mind of Christ, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. Let that be your real prize. If God in His grace allows your business to grow and wealth to come, it will be a secondary fruit, not the root.

There is a kind of wisdom offered by the world that is earthly, driven by envy and striving, and it comes to nothing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy. Ask yourself which kind of wisdom is shaping your decisions: the wisdom that trusts in your own insight and market patterns apart from God, or the wisdom that submits every trade and plan to the Lord who established the heavens by understanding. Real wisdom will teach you that money is a defense, but wisdom gives life to those who have it.

Do not be discouraged if the path requires patience. The testing of your faith works patience, and patience must have its perfect work so that you lack nothing in maturity. You will make mistakes, everyone does, but we have a gracious God who gives wisdom liberally and does not upbraid us when we come to Him for guidance. So come daily, not with the anxiety of a trader chasing gain, but as a child seeking the wisdom that begins in hating evil and walking in righteousness. May your life and your business display that wisdom by a manner of living that is pure and merciful, so that any increase becomes a means of genuine blessing to others and glory to Christ.
