We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this individual who is engaging in reckless and foolish conduct. The Bible clearly warns us about the consequences of such behavior. Proverbs 14:16 tells us, "A wise man fears and shuns evil, but the fool is hotheaded and reckless." It is evident that this person needs divine intervention to turn from their ways and seek wisdom.
Father God, we pray that You would bring divine discipline into this life. Your Word says in Hebrews 12:6, "For whom the Lord loves, he disciplines, and chastises every son whom he receives." Lord, we ask that You would chasten and correct this individual in love, so that they may turn from their foolish ways and seek Your face. May they come to understand the gravity of their actions and the need for repentance.
We also pray for a spirit of humility to come upon them. Proverbs 11:2 reminds us, "When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom." Lord, break any pride that is hindering this person from seeing the error of their ways. Soften their heart to receive Your correction and guidance.
We rebuke any spirit of rebellion and foolishness that may be at work in this life. The Bible says in Proverbs 1:7, "The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction." May this individual come to fear You, Lord, and despise their own foolishness.
We encourage this person to seek Your face and turn from their sinful ways. Your Word promises in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Lord, may this individual humble themselves before You, seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways.
We pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they have not already. It is only through Jesus that we have access to You, Father. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" May this person confess their sins, believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord, and be saved.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this individual with godly influences who can speak truth into their life. Proverbs 13:20 says, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Provide them with wise counsel and godly friends who can help guide them in the right path.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
