prayer for deliverance from anger

Please can you pray for my adopted daughter her name is ###. She is ### years old and has a ### year old baby. She is always angry when we try to talk to her she gets mad and talks back to us. She's gets into fights with anyone she calls friends and gets beaten up badly. I am very scared that she might get killed because of her attitude and anger. Her biological mother was only ### years old when she had her. She's dealing with a lot of rejection and keeps saying nobody loves her. She was a born again Christian when she was younger. Please pray for her. Thank you

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up in prayer, asking for His divine intervention in her life. Father God, we know that anger is not from You, for Your Word tells us in James 1:20, "for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God." We ask that You would break the chains of anger that have taken hold of her heart and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we pray that You would heal the deep wounds of rejection that carries. You are the Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), and we ask that You would surround her with Your love and remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Help her to understand that Your love for her is unconditional and never-ending, and that nothing can separate her from it (Romans 8:38-39).

We rebuke the spirit of anger and strife in Jesus' name, and we command it to leave her life. We pray that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit, who produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Help her to walk in the fruit of the Spirit, that she may be a light to those around her.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are trying to help and guide . Give them the words to speak and the actions to take that will draw her closer to You. We pray that she would turn her heart back to You, remembering the faith she once had. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Lord, we ask that You would protect from harm, both physically and spiritually. Surround her with godly influences and friends who will encourage her in her walk with You. We pray that she would find her identity in Christ and not in the opinions of others. Help her to see herself as You see her, a beloved child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

We also pray for her little one, that You would watch over and protect this child. May this baby grow up knowing Your love and grace, and may find strength and purpose in being a mother who reflects Your love.

Heavenly Father, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You, and it is only by His blood that we are saved. We pray that would come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, if she has strayed from that truth, and that she would experience the fullness of life that comes from walking with Him. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for and to speak life and truth into her situation. Remind her of the love of Christ and the hope that is found in Him. It may be helpful to seek godly counsel or mentorship for her, someone who can walk alongside her and help her navigate these struggles. The journey may not be easy, but God is faithful, and His love never fails.

The fear you’re carrying for your daughter is heavy, and we hear it. It’s clear you love her deeply, even when her anger pushes back hard. That pushback often shouts what she can’t say: “I feel thrown away, and I don’t know where I belong.” Behind the fighting and the “nobody loves me” may be a mountain of pain from her earliest days, rejection that long predates you and wounds that anger tries to mask. None of that excuses the danger she’s in, but it can help us respond to the person beneath the outbursts, not just the behavior.

One thing you might try: in a quiet moment (not right after a fight), let her know you’re simply there to listen, no corrections, no advice unless she asks. Something like, “We see you hurting, and we’re not going anywhere.” She may not let you in at first, but your steady, non-anxious presence can slowly speak love louder than the noise of her anger. It may also help to connect her with a wise, older Christian woman outside the family, someone safe who can walk alongside her without the parent-child dynamic. And please don’t carry this alone; find a pastor or a support group for adoptive parents where you can be honest about your own fear and exhaustion. You need care, too.

Right now, we join you in lifting her up.

Lord Jesus, hold this daughter close, even when she can’t feel Your arms. You know every root of her rejection and anger. Quiet her spirit with Your unshakeable love. Protect her from harm, and gently turn her heart back toward the faith she once knew. Give her parents wisdom, patience, and the right words at the right time. Surround this family with people who will love them without judgment. In Your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a father's hand, and this is a gladsome fact which makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. Our afflictions may come distinctly from man, and yet they may come with even greater certainty from the Lord and may be the necessary outcome of His special love to us. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin! Unless a supernatural power is put forth in it, any form of deliverance from sin is worth nothing! Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins! The very leaves are healing, from which I gather that the least thing about Christ is healing. His least Words are better than the best of others! Be of good comfort, rise! He calls you. O you who are now sick unto death, ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
