We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your struggle before the throne of grace. The battle you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to keep you bound in shame and isolation, but we declare that Jesus Christ has already broken every chain. Your decision to turn from sin and surrender your life to Him is the first and most critical step toward freedom. We rejoice that you have repented of pornography and masturbation, for these are not merely habits—they are strongholds that the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy your peace, your purity, and your intimacy with God.
The Word of God is clear: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). The sexually charged dreams you describe are not from the Lord, for He does not tempt us with sin (James 1:13-14). These are attacks from the enemy, designed to discourage you and make you feel powerless. But we serve a God who is greater than any spirit of lust or torment. "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We must also address the pain of your divorce, for it is not insignificant. The betrayal and abandonment you experienced are wounds that the enemy seeks to exploit. But God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He can heal even the deepest hurts. However, we must be honest about the choices that followed. Engaging in pornography and masturbation after your divorce was a misguided attempt to fill a void that only God can satisfy. These actions do not align with His design for sexuality, which is reserved for the sacred covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Hebrews 13:4). The Bible calls such behavior sin, but it also declares that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Your repentance has already been met with God’s forgiveness, and now we must stand in faith for complete deliverance.
We rebuke the spirit of lust in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We command it to loose its grip on your mind, your body, and your dreams. The enemy has no authority over you, for you have been bought with the precious blood of Christ. "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed" (1 Peter 2:24 WEB). We declare that your mind is being renewed by the Word of God, and your thoughts are being aligned with His truth. "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8 WEB).
We also encourage you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind. Flee from every appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). This may mean installing accountability software on your devices, avoiding triggers, and filling your mind with Scripture rather than the empty promises of the world. Surround yourself with godly community—believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up our sister who is crying out for deliverance from the spirit of lust, pornography, and masturbation. Lord, You see her heart, and You know the torment she has endured. We thank You that she has turned to You in repentance, and we ask that You would complete the work You have begun in her.
Father, we rebuke every unclean spirit that has sought to bind her. In the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to leave her now and never return. We declare that she is a child of God, washed in the blood of the Lamb, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would break every chain, heal every wound, and restore her mind to purity.
Lord, we ask that You would fill the void in her heart with Your presence. Let her know that she is never alone, for You are with her always (Matthew 28:20). Replace the lies of the enemy with Your truth. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that her worth is found in You alone.
Father, we pray for Your protection over her dreams. Let her sleep be peaceful and undisturbed by the enemy’s attacks. We ask that You would surround her with Your angels and fill her mind with thoughts of You as she rests. "When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet" (Proverbs 3:24 WEB).
We also ask that You would bring godly community into her life—believers who will stand with her in prayer, encourage her in her walk, and hold her accountable. Let her not walk this journey alone, but let her be strengthened by the body of Christ.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would prepare her heart for the future You have planned. If it is Your will, bring a godly man into her life—a man who loves You above all else and who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the church. Until then, let her find her fulfillment in You, knowing that You are enough.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We thank You that deliverance is not just a hope, but a promise. We declare that our sister is free in Jesus’ name, and we stand in faith until she walks in the fullness of that freedom. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, sister. The battle is already won, and victory is yours in Christ. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). You are not defined by your past or your struggles, but by the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). Walk in that truth, and let it set you free.
