Prayer for daughter

Please pray for my daughter, Carrie, who has an court date next Monday, on9/14. She has minor juvenile charges pending in FL, pertaining to being with two other people that were charged with possession of cocaine last year in 9/08 and this year in 6/09 she was with someone who had drug paraphernalia on them and she was smoking cigarettes as a minor. She just turned 18 on 7/5 and she is basically a good girl, a little misguided right now concerning pot smoking but we all went through that. The difference is that she has had other fairly mature things to face as a young teen involving her dad and with me in not being able to handle her; the experiences she had at a Church home for troubled youth (both good & bad) for nine months. She learned new 'bad' things living there from some of the other girls! And our relationship was renewed while she was living there. But because the home messed her school year up in her 10th grade year she faced problems getting through the remainder of school, so she never graduated. She hasn't been able to get her drivers license because of the school issue (plus she has a bit of a fear concerning driving). She really needs hope in her life, she's told me this, too. I know that she needs to be brought back to God, she new Him once when she was much younger. She needs to know that she's loved and see our actions are 'for her' to give her the 'helping-hand' that she is seeking. She feels like pot helps her escape all of the negatives that she has & is facing. I, being her mother, would prefer that she will not have to go to jail or have further problems concerning the court charges. Please pray for her protection, she needs to be lifted up not to be brought further down. Thank you!

Father, we seek Your intercession in Carrie's young life. Father, guide her to a place of safety and peace. Reshape and mold her mind so that she trusts in You - the only One who will never let her down. I pray for Your hand of favor over her court proceedings. May the new beginning she is given be seized for good in every way. Restore her self esteem, a right way of thinking, a deep need for Your presence and guidance. In the name of Jesus, I pray that You would place her on a path to maturity, healing and growth. Amen.

Lord, I join with others to plead for this child of Yours who has lost her way. You have shown me so many signs of Your Power and Your Kindness. Guide the courts to make decisions in the best interest of Carrie, Your servant. Her mother loves her as Your mother loved You. Ease her worries. Send Your Holy Spirit to give her peace. I ask that You lay Your Hands on Carrie and her mother during this time of distress. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
