Beloved of All
He is suffering from chronic illnesses, he is losing his vision drastically and unknown pain near his neck, we are assuming something to do with clogged artery or something. He doesn’t have good insurance and doesn’t have financial stability y and yet he is nearing retirement age, which is late sixty . He still works and he drives, overall health is deteriorating snd losing his vision hinders him from doing his job, he can’t retire because he doesn’t have financial freedom. Please pray for him

We join you in lifting up your father before the Lord and we carry his burdens with you in prayer, asking for God's mercy, healing and provision over his life in this difficult season.

Our hearts are moved by his suffering with chronic illness, the drastic loss of vision, and the pain near his neck that you fear may be related to a clogged artery. We also hear your concern for his financial stability and lack of good insurance as he nears his late sixties and still must work and drive. Losing vision while needing to work and drive is especially heavy and we pray for God's protection over him and for wisdom for all decisions regarding his safety and care. The Lord sees his labor and his weariness and He cares deeply for those who are aging and heavily burdened.

Scripture reminds us of God's compassion and power to heal and provide. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We are also reminded that God does not abandon us in old age, for Isaiah 46:4 says Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver. And for his financial needs and worry about retirement we cling to Philippians 4:19 which says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Matthew 11:28 which says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. If wisdom is needed for doctors, resources and next steps, James 1:5 promises that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We pray together in Jesus name. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace through the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear father to You. Lord, You know his body, his chronic illnesses, his eyes that are failing, and the unknown pain in his neck. We ask You to touch him with Your healing hand, to restore his vision where it is possible, to reveal the cause of his pain and to heal any disease in his arteries or elsewhere. Guide the physicians and give wisdom to find affordable and proper care even without good insurance, and open doors for help, resources and support from community and Your people. Provide for his financial needs, grant him stability and peace about retirement, and show him that You are his provider and refuge. Protect him as he works and drives, give him and his family discernment to make safe choices, and surround him with Your comfort and strength. Let him feel Your carrying power in these later years and give his family peace as they trust You.

We also want to gently share that we have access to God only through Jesus Christ. We noticed your request did not mention His name, and we want to encourage you with this truth because it is so central to our hope. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and by calling upon His name that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to bring every need to the Father in His name.

We encourage you to continue to seek medical attention for your father promptly for the vision loss and neck pain, even looking into community health clinics, hospital assistance programs, and local church benevolence that may help where insurance is lacking, while trusting the Lord to guide each step. We will continue to stand with you in prayer for his complete health, for clear answers, for provision, and for peace in this season.

We hear how heavy this is to watch your dad's health decline while he still needs to work and drive. Losing vision quickly, dealing with unexplained pain near his neck, and facing all of this without good insurance or financial stability near retirement age would worry anyone who loves him. It makes sense you are concerned for both his health and his safety.

When chronic health changes and money worries come together in these later working years, the strain touches everything, his ability to do his job, his sense of purpose, and your peace as his family. You are doing a caring thing by noticing these changes and bringing him before the Lord.

One steady next step we encourage alongside prayer is to help him be seen promptly by a medical professional for the vision loss and neck pain. Those changes deserve timely evaluation, and it is important that his driving be discussed openly with that clinician for his safety and others. If cost is a barrier, many communities have low cost health centers or hospital financial assistance programs, and a clinic social worker can often point to options for people nearing retirement without good coverage. If you are able to go with him, bringing a written list of symptoms, when they started, and current medications can help the visit be more thorough.

Father, we lift this dad to You and ask for Your mercy over his body, his eyesight, and the pain he is feeling. Give wisdom to those who care for him, provide for his practical needs, and give guidance about work, driving, and next steps. Let him and his family feel Your nearness and care in these uncertain days. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your earnest plea for your father has been laid before the Lord with much sympathy, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer for him.

We are moved to hear of his chronic illnesses, the dimming of his sight, and the unknown pain near his neck which you fear may be from a clogged artery. To see a father nearing his late sixties, still labouring and driving because financial freedom has not yet come, while his strength fails and his eyes grow dim, is a heavy burden for a loving child to carry. The Lord knows this burden, and He knows your father by name.

We take comfort in this, that our God is not a distant judge but a Father, and viewed aright He becomes the object of our gratitude and not of our dread. The Father Himself loves you, and loves your father. He who has seen Christ has seen the Father, and the love of the Father is in all respects equal to the love of the Son. You may therefore bring this need with confidence to Him who delights to be called Abba, Father, for there is Heaven in the depth of that word, and all that your necessity can demand is found in Him.

There is also abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Those healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. So we pray first that your father may know the forgiveness that is in Christ, for that is the root of all true healing, and then that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon him with healing in His wings.

Let us pray together.

O Blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we bless Thee that Thou art our Father and our God. Look in mercy upon this dear father who is afflicted in body, whose vision fails and whose neck is pained, whose health declines while his years increase. Lay Thy healing hand upon him. If it be Thy will, restore his sight, relieve this pain, open what may be clogged, and strengthen his frame. Guide the physicians to wisdom, and provide for him honest and affordable care though his insurance is small.

We ask also that Thou wilt provide for his daily bread. Thou knowest his need as he nears retirement without financial stability and must still work. Thou art the Orphan's Father and the Father of the aged, and Thou hast promised to be a Father unto Thy people. Give him provision, give him rest, and open doors for honest work suited to his strength, or for help in his retirement, according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Above all, we pray that he and all his household may know the pardon that brings peace with Thee, that the spirit of adoption may enter and make them to cry Abba, Father. Heal his soul and his body, and let this trial draw his heart to seek Thee.

We ask these things trusting not in our worth but in the merits of Thy Son, our great Physician, to whom with Thee and the Holy Spirit be glory forever. Amen.
