Prayer for Courage, Goodness, Favour and Approval

Please pray for me for courage, wisdom, and God’s favour as I continue with my work and responsibilities. May the Lord give me strength to remain confident, focused, humble, and diligent, even when I face opposition, discouragement, or difficult situations. Please pray especially for favour with the vc and for God to guide his heart and decisions concerning the concept notes, proposals, programmes, and initiatives I have submitted or will be submitting. May he see the value, purpose, and potential impact of the work, and may the proposals receive the necessary consideration, support, and approval. May God grant me favour with the Vc, management, colleagues, and all those whose decisions affect my work. Where there are misunderstandings or negative perceptions about me, may God bring truth, clarity, and understanding. Lord, let goodness and favour follow me in my workplace. Give me courage to speak, wisdom to present my ideas well, and discernment to know when and how to act. Let the work of my hands be fruitful and meaningful. May every proposal that is aligned with Your purpose receive the right doors, the right people, the right resources, and the right approvals. Give me patience when things are delayed and faith when I cannot see the outcome. Lord, go before me, give me favour, establish the work of my hands, and let everything I do bring positive impact to the students and the institution. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We join with you in this request and we bring your work and responsibilities before the Lord together, asking for His courage, wisdom and favour to rest upon you. We understand the weight of wanting to remain confident, focused, humble and diligent when facing opposition, discouragement and difficult situations, and we are encouraged by your desire that the work of your hands would be fruitful and bring positive impact to students and the institution.

The Lord calls us to be strong and courageous, not in our own strength but in His. For He has said, Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you, Deuteronomy 31:6 and Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go, Joshua 1:9. He also reminds us, For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. When we need wisdom to present ideas well and discernment to know when and how to act, we can ask Him confidently, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5.

We also pray for favour, and we are reminded that true favour comes first from God and then is reflected before others. So you will find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man, Proverbs 3:4 and For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield, Psalm 5:12. We commit your proposals, concept notes, programmes and initiatives to Him, for Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3 and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23. We take comfort that the heart of those in authority is not beyond His reach, for The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires, Proverbs 21:1. Therefore we ask Him to guide the heart and decisions of the VC, management, colleagues and all whose decisions affect your work, that where there are misunderstandings or negative perceptions, He would bring truth, clarity and understanding, and that every proposal aligned with His purpose would receive the right doors, the right people, the right resources and the right approvals in His perfect timing.

We notice your prayer speaks of the Lord but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently encourage you in this, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and that our prayers are heard. We encourage you to place your full trust in Him and to come boldly before the throne in His name.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Grant courage where there is fear, wisdom where there is uncertainty, and patience where there are delays. Let Your favour rest upon him and establish the work of his hands, as it is written, Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands, Psalm 90:17. Guide the VC and all leaders as You guide water, open their eyes to see the value, purpose and potential impact of what has been submitted, and grant consideration, support and approval according to Your will. Where there is opposition or discouragement, let his ways please You so that even his enemies may be at peace with him, Proverbs 16:7. Keep him humble, diligent and focused, working as unto You and not for the praise of men, and give him faith when he cannot see the outcome. Go before him, let goodness and favour follow him in his workplace, and let all he does bring glory to You and good to those he serves. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We hear how much this work means to you, and how heavy it can feel to keep showing up with diligence and humility while you wait on decisions that are out of your hands. Wanting to do good for students and for your institution, and also wanting to be seen clearly and treated fairly, is a good and understandable desire. We are praying with you for that steadiness.

What you named about courage is important. Courage is less about feeling brave in the moment and more about quietly orienting yourself to do what is right and needed, even with obstacles in front of you. That often grows through small, faithful habits, preparing each note and proposal as clearly as you can, choosing the right time and tone to speak, and then being patient when an answer is delayed. When there have been misunderstandings, consistency over time often does more to bring clarity than trying to defend yourself all at once.

One step that may help is to keep each submission simple and focused on purpose and impact, and if possible have one trusted colleague review it for clarity before it goes to the VC and management. A brief, respectful follow up after you submit can also keep the door open without pressing too hard.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your favour and guidance over his work. Give him courage to speak wisely, discernment to know when to act and when to wait, and peace when outcomes are not yet seen. Guide the heart of the VC and all who review these proposals, and establish the work of his hands for good. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for courage, wisdom and the favour of God in your work has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

We pray that the Lord who is both power and wisdom will be your strength and compass in these days. True wisdom is not found in the judgment of men, which is frail and short sighted, but in Christ Himself, who is the wisdom of God. He planned the way of salvation and by His skill He laid the foundations of the world, yet He rests in His love and rejoices over His people with singing when He is at work for their good. That same wisdom is above rubies and more precious than gold, and He gives it freely to those who ask Him. We ask Him to give it to you, that you may know when to speak and when to be silent, how to present what has been entrusted to you with clarity, humility and diligence.

Take courage in this, that underneath you are the everlasting arms. When opposition or discouragement press upon you, His strength shall be equal to your day. He is able to establish the work of your hands and to make it fruitful for the good of others.

We pray for favour with the vice chancellor, with management and with colleagues, that the Lord would guide every heart and decision concerning the concept notes, proposals, programmes and initiatives you have submitted and will submit. Where there has been misunderstanding or negative perception, we ask God to bring truth, clarity and understanding. May every door that is aligned with His purpose be opened, and may He provide the right people, the right resources and the right approval in His perfect time. Where there is delay, may He grant you patience, and where the outcome is unseen, may He grant you steady faith, remembering that what He does is always best and His will ought to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

May the Lord go before you, keep you confident and focused in Him, humble before Him, and diligent in all He has given you to do, so that your labour may bear meaningful fruit for your students and for the institution, all to the glory of Christ.
