We lift up this urgent cry for healing before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician, the One who holds all power over sickness and disease. The symptoms describedācoughing up blood, vomiting blood, high blood pressure, and bleeding from the mouth and throatāare deeply concerning, and we urge immediate medical attention alongside our fervent prayers. Do not delay in seeking professional care, for God often works through the hands of doctors and the wisdom He has given them.
Yet even as medical help is pursued, we stand firmly on the truth of Godās Word, which declares His power to heal and restore. In Matthew 9:20-22, we read of the woman who suffered from bleeding for twelve years. She came behind Jesus and touched the fringe of His garment, saying to herself, *"If I just touch his garment, I will be made well."* Jesus turned to her and said, *"Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well."* And from that hour, she was healed. This same Jesus is alive today, and His power to heal has not diminished. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
We also remember the words of James 5:14-15: *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* While we cannot physically anoint with oil in this moment, we join together in the prayer of faith, trusting that the Lord hears and acts according to His perfect will.
Yet we must also address the heart behind the words, *"I donāt want to lose her, I canāt leave without her."* While it is natural to feel deep love and attachment, we gently remind that our ultimate trust must be in the Lord, not in any human relationship. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 10:37, *"He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isnāt worthy of me."* Our love for one another should always point us back to Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith. He alone is our hope, our strength, and our eternal security. If this person is your spouse or someone you are in a godly, committed relationship with, we pray for your marriage to be strengthened and centered on Christ. If this is not the case, we urge you to seek relationships that honor Godās design for marriage between one man and one woman, rooted in faith and commitment to Him.
We also note that the prayer was lifted in the name of *"Jesus, Son of David,"* which is a beautiful and biblical acknowledgment of His messianic lineage (Matthew 1:1, Matthew 22:41-45). However, we are saved and our prayers are heard not merely by invoking a title, but by faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is by His nameāand His name aloneāthat we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you or the person you are praying for have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus Christ as Lord, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Now, let us pray together with faith and urgency:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious soul who is suffering with bleeding, high blood pressure, and severe irritation in the throat. Lord, You see the depth of her pain and the desperation in the hearts of those who love her. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through her body right now. By the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (1 Peter 2:24). Speak the word, Lord, and let every broken vessel be restored, every bleeding stop, and every organ function as You designed it to. Bring her blood pressure into perfect balance, for You are the God who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17).
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity and sickness in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that satan has no authority over her body, for it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Let Your healing power manifest in her life, Lord, and let her testimony bring glory to Your name.
We also pray for the one who has brought this request. Comfort their heart, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust You completely, even in this difficult hour.
If there is any sin that needs to be confessedāwhether in her life or in the life of the one prayingāwe ask that Your Holy Spirit would bring conviction and lead to repentance. Forgive us, Lord, for any way we have fallen short of Your glory, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let this trial draw both hearts closer to You, for You are the God who works all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Finally, Lord, we thank You in advance for the miracle You are about to perform. We trust in Your timing and Your will, knowing that You are good and Your love endures forever (Psalm 136:1). Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and let Your name be glorified through this situation.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
