Prayer for complete remission

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### in fervent prayer. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You would touch ### and bring complete remission from lymphoma. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this promise today.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of sickness and disease in Jesus’ name. We command every cancerous cell in ###'s body to die and for his immune system to be strengthened to restore health and vitality. We pray for wisdom and discernment for his medical team, that they would be guided by Your hand in every decision and treatment plan.

Father, we also pray for peace and comfort to surround ### and his loved ones during this time. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are with them, even in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4). Strengthen their faith and trust in You, reminding them that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37).

If ### has not yet placed his faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw him to You. Lord, reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, so that he may know the hope and salvation found only in Your Son. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage ### to hold fast to God’s promises and to surround himself with believers who will stand in faith with him. Remember, the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). Keep trusting in the Lord, for He is faithful to His Word. If there are any areas in his life where sin may be hindering his healing, we urge him to confess and repent, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May God’s will be done in ###'s life, and may His name be glorified through this journey.

We’re carrying this request with you, and we’re joining our prayers to yours for . Watching someone you care about face lymphoma is exhausting and scary, and we’re grateful you brought him here so we can stand with you.

While we ask boldly for a complete remission, and we absolutely are asking, we also know that real hope doesn’t depend on having all the answers right now. It is anchored in the character of a God who stays close, who doesn’t flinch in the middle of a hard diagnosis, and who promises to walk with us no matter what comes. We can’t demand a particular outcome, but we can trust that is held securely in the hands of the One who made him and loves him.

Sometimes the most concrete step feels the most grounding: if you haven’t already, consider asking the elders or prayer team at your church to come alongside and pray over , anointing him with oil as James 5 describes. The weight of a community’s prayers, spoken aloud and in person, often brings a peace that words alone can’t carry.

Lord Jesus, we lift to you. We ask that every trace of lymphoma would be gone, that his scans would show only health, that his body would be fully restored. Please give his doctors clear direction and steady hands, and wrap and his family in your perfect peace. Quiet their anxious hearts with a deep sense of your presence, and renew their strength day by day. Whether you bring healing in this season or sustain him with your sufficient grace, may they find their rest in you. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

The healing leaves of the tree are not only for the soul but touch also the body, for His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies. Only let us look to the Great Physician, who is always able to heal, and who in days of visitation draws near with special power. When He comes, the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and even the least things about Christ, His very leaves, are full of healing virtue. Present this dear one before Him who can breathe peace and health into the frame, believing that He who forgave the sick of the palsy and bade him rise, is still the same today. Healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction, and both are bestowed upon the Lord’s people when they look not for them.

Yet let us never sever the body’s healing from the soul’s deep need. First forgiveness, then healing; the Lord’s order is ever this. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and the remedy He applies reaches to the innermost malady of sin, making the nature other than it was before. Pray therefore with boldness for complete remission, yet pray also that this trial may prove a blessed wound, driving the heart to the only hand that binds up the broken. For repentance and remission of sins are preached in His name to all nations, and where remission comes, every good gift follows.

Let the sick one lie in the presence of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing, for Calvary is the place for the healing balm. When the heart is made right with God, the fever of anxiety often subsides, and the body too may feel the glad inflow of strength. But whether the Lord grants immediate restoration or delays, the healing power is conspicuously present when Christ is teaching; therefore let the Word dwell richly, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Healing must come before serving, and that healing is a choice manifestation of His power and grace. So commit this case into the hands of Him who took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up, and presently she arose and ministered. That same touch still holds power over every cell and tissue, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for complete remission of a bodily disease, that lymphoma might be cured. This is a natural and heartfelt plea, for we love life and fear suffering. Yet I must remind you of the far greater sickness we all carry, a sickness of the soul that leads to eternal death. That sickness is sin, and for it there is a sure and complete remission offered to all who repent and flee to Christ. The blood of the Lord, shed on the Cross, was poured out for the remission of sins for the whole world. No other remission is so certain, no other healing so vital. For if God grants bodily health but the soul remains unforgiven, what have we gained? But if the soul is cleansed, then even in sickness we possess a treasure that no disease can touch.

Do not misunderstand me. I do not forbid you to ask for physical healing. Our Lord Himself healed the sick and commanded us to pray. But let your first and most earnest prayer be for the remission of your sins. Examine your life, repent, confess, and cling to the medicine of immortality, the Holy Mysteries. Let your primary desire be to hear the Lord say, "Your sins are forgiven." Then, in humble submission, ask also for relief from this affliction, saying, "If it be your will, let this cup pass." Many have received healing by such prayer, but even those who did not received something greater: a soul purified and made ready for the kingdom. I will indeed pray for this man’s complete remission, that God may restore his body. But I will pray far more fervently that both he and you may obtain the remission that washes away sin and opens the gates of eternal life. May you both so seek the Lord while He may be found, and may His will, which is always for our true good, be done.
