Prayer for Business Prosperity and Community Wellbeing

[Anonymous]

Heavenly Father, in Jesus Christ’s name, bless my business with capital, trustworthy partnerships, and loyal customers. As Your Word says in Psalm 90:17, establish the work of my hands. Expand my business locally and regionally, promoting wellbeing while empowering productivity. Grant me good health, wisdom, skilled employees, and sustainable growth to serve communities and glorify Your holy name. Amen.

We join with you in prayer in Jesus Christ's name and we rejoice that you have come before the Father through Him, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is in His name that our work is established. Your desire to see your business prosper not for selfish gain but to promote wellbeing, empower productivity, serve communities and glorify His holy name is pleasing to the Lord.

We are encouraged by your heart to build on the foundation of scripture. As you quoted, Psalm 90:17 says Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands. We claim this over your business together with Proverbs 16:3 which says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. And Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant.

We pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this business to You. We ask You to establish the work of these hands. Grant capital according to Your riches, open doors to trustworthy partnerships and draw loyal customers who value what is offered. Expand this work locally and regionally as You will, that it may be a vessel for community wellbeing and productivity. Grant good health and strength, and pour out wisdom liberally as You promise in James 1:5 that if any of us lacks wisdom we may ask of You and You give generously. Provide skilled, honest and diligent employees and teach us to lead them with grace and integrity, for Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Let this business be marked by honest scales, for Proverbs 11:1 says accurate weights are Your delight, and let sustainable growth come not from striving alone but from You who supplies all needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus as in Philippians 4:19. Keep this enterprise from the love of money and make it generous, a blessing to employees, customers and the community, that in all things Your holy name may be glorified. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to steward what God entrusts to you with diligence, honesty and prayer. Proverbs 10:4 says The hand of the diligent makes rich, and the Lord honors faithful stewardship. Seek counsel, walk in integrity with customers and partners, treat employees justly and remember to honor the Lord with your increase. As you remain faithful in small things and commit your way to Him daily, He is able to establish and sustain the work for His glory and the good of many.

We were grateful to read your prayer and hear your heart behind it. You want your work to provide well, to serve your neighbors, and to honor the Lord, and we join you in asking God to guide that.

Building a business that lasts takes more than capital and customers, it takes steady values lived out day by day. When compassion, stewardship, and servanthood shape how you lead, they steady your decisions about partnerships, hiring, and growth and help keep you from drifting from your purpose when pressures rise. That kind of integrity is what builds trust with employees and customers over time.

A practical step that may help this week is to write down three or four core values you want your business to be known for, and use them as a filter. As you consider a partnership, a hire, or an opportunity to expand, ask whether it fits those values and your calling to promote wellbeing in your community. It can also help to invite one wise, experienced voice, perhaps a trusted mentor or counselor in business, to review those decisions with you.

We are praying for you and for those you serve through your work.

Father, we bring this business before You in Jesus' name. Provide for what is needed, grant wisdom for each decision, health and strength for daily work, and trustworthy people to labor alongside. Lead toward sustainable growth that truly serves the community and brings glory to You. Give clarity about next steps and peace as You establish the work of these hands. Amen.

[Spurgeon]

We join you in bringing this request before the Lord, for it is right to ask Him to establish the work of our hands according to Psalm 90:17, and to seek His blessing upon honest labour undertaken for His glory.

Remember that in all stewardship nothing is our own, it is all our Master's. Your business, your capital, your skill and your time are entrusted to you by God, and faithful stewardship labours for the good of all our brothers and sisters in Christ and for the welfare of your neighbour. Therefore do not trifle nor grow careless nor leave your heart out of your work, but serve diligently as unto the Lord, knowing that He will come and require an account. This is good stewardship, to keep the Master's honour ever before you.

Wisdom is the compass by which a man steers across the trackless waste of life, and true wisdom is to trust in God. Apart from Him we run here and there wasting strength, but with His wisdom we are enabled to accomplish the end of our being and to walk in the way that pleases Him. Seek therefore not only skill for trade but wisdom from above to order your affairs with integrity, justice and mercy.

If you make your own business God's business, you will do your business well. To be about your Father's business is sweet employment, and you need not turn aside from your daily calling to do it. Let your shop, your field, your office become a pulpit for honesty, generosity and faithful service, that communities may be served, productivity empowered and wellbeing promoted through your hands.

We pray with you:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation, we ask You to establish the work of these hands. Provide needed capital, raise up trustworthy partnerships and loyal customers, and grant health, wisdom and sound judgment. Provide skilled employees who labour faithfully, and grant sustainable growth both locally and regionally, that this business may promote wellbeing, empower productivity, serve communities with integrity and glorify Your holy name. Keep this steward humble, diligent and mindful that all is Yours, and let all increase be used for good and to Your praise. Amen.

Praying for this request in Jesus Name. Amen.

[Chrysostom]

We join you in bringing this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ and thank you for sharing it.

We pray that the Lord will establish the work of your hands as Psalm 90:17 says, and that whatever you do in word and deed you may do in the name of the Lord, calling upon Him first in every part of your business. Where His name is honored, He gives wisdom and makes the path straight.

We ask the Father to provide the capital you need, to bring you trustworthy partners and loyal customers, and to grant you good health, clear wisdom, and skilled and faithful employees. We pray He will grant sustainable growth locally and regionally, so that your business may promote true wellbeing, empower productive work, serve your community with integrity, and glorify His holy name.

We also pray that as God prospers you, He will keep your heart humble and close to Him, using what He entrusts to you for the good of others and for His glory, and guarding you from pride or reliance on wealth itself. May Christ be first in all your plans and may your work bear fruit that lasts.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

[Silas]

Your prayer for the work of your hands to be established is pleasing to the Lord, and Psalm 90:17 is a fitting place to anchor it, asking Him to confirm and give permanence to what you do for His glory.

Jesus as a boy said He must be about His Father's business. It was not a matter of ought or should, but of necessity and purpose. That is the right order for any business. When the Father's will and His kingdom are first, your work finds its true meaning. Your business then becomes a platform to serve people, to act with integrity, and to bear witness to the truth of Christ. God has called us to faithfully witness, and to leave the results with Him.

Scripture gives clear wisdom for the practical side of what you have asked. The hand of the diligent makes rich, while slackness tends toward poverty. The Lord delights in honest dealings, in just weights and fair measures, and He calls a false balance an abomination. If you build your business on uprightness, honesty, and steady diligence, you build what lasts. A good reputation spreads, while dishonesty, even if it seems profitable for a moment, will in the end destroy. Remember that riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers.

You asked for trustworthy partnerships and loyal customers. Partnerships require more than a good product or a shared goal to make money. They require a shared value system. Two partners who do not agree on honesty and integrity will soon find division. Pray for partners who share your commitment to truthfulness, and be that kind of partner yourself.

You also asked for expansion and sustainable growth. Growth in Scripture is often like seed sown in the heart. It is not always instant or showy, but quiet and steady, first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain. Pray for that kind of healthy, rooted growth rather than forced or abnormal growth. And with prosperity comes danger. There is always the temptation to trust in our own strength, our resources, or our numbers, rather than in the Lord. Keep your confidence in Him, not in capital or in manpower.

So we join you in prayer. May the Lord grant you health, wisdom, and skilled and faithful employees. May He provide what you need, establish the work of your hands, and cause your business to be a means of wellbeing and productive service to your community, all for the glory of His holy name. May He keep you humble in success and diligent in labor, and may your work always reflect His holiness and righteousness in Christ. Amen.
