Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother ### who has lost his beloved mother today. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround him during this time of grief and sorrow. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18 that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We pray that ### feels Your presence and finds solace in Your unfailing love.

Father, we also pray for the soul of ###'s mother. We trust in Your righteous judgment and mercy. We know that, as it says in Hebrews 9:27, "it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." We pray that she had placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior, for Your Word assures us in John 11:25-26 that Jesus is the resurrection and the life, and whoever believes in Him will live, even though they die.

Lord, we ask that You grant ### the strength to endure this difficult time. Surround him with friends and family who can offer support and encouragement. May he find comfort in the promises of Your Word, knowing that You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for ### as he navigates the days ahead. Help him to lean not on his own understanding, but in all his ways acknowledge You, and You will make his paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
