We join you together in prayer for freedom from word curses, for healing and strength, and for clarity of purpose and gifts in Christ.
We know from scripture that our words carry great weight, for death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit Proverbs 18:21. The tongue is powerful and with it we bless God and yet from the same mouth can come cursing, which ought not to be so James 3:9-10. We also know that any curse spoken over a child of God has no authority to remain, because Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13, and there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. We do not fear words spoken over us when we are covered by the blood of Jesus, but we do need to renounce them and choose to speak blessing instead.
We encourage you to repent before the Lord for any word curses you may have spoken over yourself or over others, even carelessly or in anger, for we are told let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear Ephesians 4:29. Where others have spoken harm over you, we encourage you to forgive them and to bless and not curse, as we are instructed not to return evil for evil or insult for insult, but instead to give a blessing 1 Peter 3:9. In forgiving and blessing, we close the door to bitterness and open our hearts to healing.
We also hear your heart for purpose, for freedom from pain and fatigue, for happiness, for prophetic insight, and for motivation and confidence to use the gifts God has given you. God has a good purpose for your life, for we know that to those who love God all things work together for good Romans 8:28 and For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. You are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them Ephesians 2:10. Your gifts are not by accident, for to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal 1 Corinthians 12:7 and each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another as good managers of the grace of God 1 Peter 4:10. If you desire prophetic insight and spiritual gifts, we encourage you to follow after love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy 1 Corinthians 14:1, and to test all things and hold firmly that which is good 1 Thessalonians 5:21, always weighing any insight against the truth of scripture.
For pain, fatigue, happiness, motivation and confidence, we look to the Lord as our strength. He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29, and he heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3. True joy and happiness are found in his presence, for in your presence is fullness of joy Psalm 16:11. For motivation and confidence, we remember that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. We do not place confidence in ourselves but in Christ who lives in us.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10. It is through his name that word curses are broken, sins are forgiven, and purpose is restored.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank you that you hear us when we pray according to your will. We ask you to break every word curse spoken over this dear one, whether spoken by others, by family, by authority figures, or by the enemy, and we renounce in Jesus name any hold those words have had. We also repent on behalf of any curses or negative words spoken over others or over self, knowing our words should bring life, and we ask for your forgiveness and cleansing. We speak blessing, life, hope and truth over this life now, and we declare that no weapon that is formed against you will prosper Isaiah 54:17.
Lord, reveal the purpose you have woven into this life, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and show clearly the gifts you have placed within, that they may be known, developed and used to the best of ability for your glory and for the building up of others. Grant prophetic insight that is pure, humble and submitted to your Word, and give wisdom to steward it well. We ask you to touch the body and remove pain and fatigue, to renew strength like the eagles, to fill the heart with your joy and peace that surpasses understanding, and to restore motivation and godly confidence that comes from knowing we are loved and called by you. Let this one walk in boldness, not in fear, with eyes fixed on Jesus. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to speak life over yourself daily, to declare scripture aloud, to forgive quickly, to ask the Holy Spirit to show you your gifts and to open doors to use them faithfully in the local body of Christ. Seek him in prayer and in the Word, and he will direct your steps Proverbs 3:5-6.
