Prayer for blessings over Advocates words

We have heard your prayer request and we thank you for sharing it so we may stand with you before God. We join you in praying with thanksgiving in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father, and we ask that His glory and His will be made known.

You asked for blessings upon an advocate's words, for favor and for miracles, and for prayer against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. Scripture does teach that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the spiritual forces of wickedness. That conflict is real and grievous, and it calls us not to light or careless speech but to sobriety and watchfulness. What God most delights to give is not simply outward success but a contrite and humbled heart, a sober and self controlled mind, repentance and reverence before Him. If we are laughing and taking things easily we are easily overthrown, but when we are earnest and awake and clothed in His grace we have an invincible ally in the Holy Spirit who gives us authority to stand against the power of the enemy.

We also hear your longing for favor and for miracles and blessings repeated many times. God is certainly able to do whatever He wills, and it is as easy for Him to act as it is for us to speak, and all good gifts come freely from His grace. Yet we are reminded that miracles without a faithful life are nothing, and that God does not give miracles to feed pride or division. Miracles are not for the faithful to boast in but to confirm the truth and to turn hearts, and the greatest work He does is the healing of the soul. An advocate's words are most blessed when they are true, just, humble and free from covetousness, spoken by one who knows he has freely received grace and so freely gives.

So we would pray with you not only for outward favor but first for inward grace, that every word spoken would be shaped by truth and love and would serve God's purposes.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ alone. We ask You to create in us clean and contrite hearts and to make us sober, watchful and steadfast. Clothe us with Your armor so we may stand against the spiritual forces of wickedness, and help us to overcome darkness by becoming light and to overcome evil by choosing what is good. We ask You to guide the words of this advocate, that they may be truthful, wise and just, and that they may be used for what is right in Your sight. We ask not that every personal condition be granted as we imagine, but that Your perfect will be done and that You would give what is truly best for our souls and for Your glory. Work in us and through us as You will, whether through ordinary grace or through miracles, and keep us from pride. Let Your glory be seen not in empty abundance but in holy lives transformed by Christ. We ask this with thanksgiving, trusting Your goodness and Your power. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in steady, faithful prayer, seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness, and trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect wisdom and love.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart and inviting prayer and agreement. I join with you in bringing these requests before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, with thanksgiving.

Scripture teaches that the greatest blessings God has for us are spiritual blessings in Christ in heavenly places. Through faith in Jesus, we enter into the covenant God made with Abraham, and that promise finds its fulfillment in Christ, the one seed through whom all nations may be blessed. We do not earn these blessings by our own works or by keeping the law, but we receive them freely because of what Jesus has done for us. When our faith rests in Him, we are counted righteous and we can walk in the fullness of His grace, receiving His blessings in ever increasing measure. God does want to bless His people, and He calls us to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that what we need will be added according to His wisdom. This keeps our priorities right, so we desire spiritual riches above material gain.

You also asked for miracles and for favor. God is certainly able to work miracles, and His power has not diminished. Yet our faith is not to be built on the spectacular or on the expectation of a show. Jesus did work miracles, and many believed when they saw them, but He calls us to build our faith on His Word. God is not limited to special moments or methods, and He does not need a certain atmosphere to act. He works according to His will, often in quiet and faithful ways, and we can trust His willingness and power while resting in the more excellent way of love and fellowship with Christ. We pray for His favor and His intervention, asking that His will be done and that every need be met in completeness as He sees best.

You prayed against principalities and powers of darkness in high places, and that is a real and biblical concern. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness. There is a constant spiritual warfare around us, and we often feel its effects in unsettled thoughts and emotions and in the battle for the mind. The weapons for this warfare are not carnal. We do not fight with human methods, but with spiritual weapons that God has provided, especially His Word, faith, and prayer. As we pray and stand in the truth of Scripture and trust in Christ, we can stand firm against the enemy.

So let us pray together. Father, we thank You for the blessings You have poured out upon us through Jesus Christ. We ask that You would guide the words of the advocate, that they would be spoken with truth, wisdom, and clarity, and that Your purposes would be accomplished. We ask for Your favor and Your hand according to Your perfect will, and for Your glory to be revealed. We ask for protection and victory in the spiritual battle, that by Your Word, by faith, and by prayer, there would be strength to stand against every scheme of darkness. Help us to keep our hearts set on Your kingdom, to walk in Your ways, and to abound in the spiritual blessings that are ours in Christ. We offer ourselves to You in response to Your goodness, asking that our lives would shine as a light for others. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, with thanksgiving. Amen.
