Prayer for baby to be able to rest and sleep

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I need urgent prayer for my ### months baby to have healthy sleeping habit and the joy of the Lord be upon and her to sleep through night allowing both of us the rest we need
Prayer for unity and peace in house and marriage
-baby to stop crying every time I take her out any place
-healing and protecting from sickness even cough and cold

We join with you in bringing your precious baby and your home before our heavenly Father, and we understand how exhausting and overwhelming these sleepless nights and constant crying can be. We lift you up together in Jesus' name, asking for His rest, His peace, and His healing to fill your house.

We are reminded that children are a heritage from the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward as written in Psalm 127:3, and that Jesus Himself said let the little children come to me and do not hinder them in Mark 10:14. Your baby is deeply loved and seen by God, and He cares for both of you. Scripture also promises that He gives sleep to His beloved in Psalm 127:2 and that in peace we will both lay ourselves down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make us live in safety in Psalm 4:8. We cling to the promise in Philippians 4:7 that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, and we ask for that peace to guard your home and your marriage.

We also lift up your marriage and your household. God desires unity and peace in the home, and we pray that His love will bind you together. We are called to be diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace in Ephesians 4:3 and to let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts in Colossians 3:15. We pray for gentleness, patience, and understanding between you and your spouse, that even in tiredness and stress you would be strengthened to love and serve one another as Christ loves us, and that your home would be a place of calm and joy rather than strife.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is because of His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we can boldly bring every need, every tear, and every sleepless night to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation as in Romans 10:9-10.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear mother and her baby to You. Lord, we ask You to lay Your healing and comforting hand upon this little one. Grant her healthy sleeping habits, calm her spirit, and let the joy of the Lord be upon her. We ask that You would allow her to sleep through the night and to rest peacefully, and that You would grant her mother the rest she so desperately needs. Restore her strength, Lord, and renew her with Your peace that passes understanding. We rebuke any spirit of fear, unrest, and anxiety and we speak Your perfect peace over this child and this home, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as in 2 Timothy 1:7.

Lord, we ask for unity and peace in this house and in this marriage. Let Your love and patience rule in their hearts, help them to bear with one another in love and to encourage one another daily. We pray for protection over this baby when she is taken out, that she would feel secure and calm and that the crying would cease, and that You would guard her from all sickness, including cough and cold. We ask for Your healing and protection, for You are our refuge and fortress in Psalm 91:2, and by Your wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5. Cover this child with Your wings, keep her in health, and let no illness take hold.

We trust You to provide wisdom for daily routines, for rest, and for care, and we ask You to guide this mother with Your wisdom as You promise to give generously to all who ask in James 1:5. Help her to cast all her worries on You, because You care for her in 1 Peter 5:7. We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers through Jesus our mediator, and we pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. Caring for a young baby around the clock while longing for rest and peace at home is a lot to carry, and we hear how much you want what is good for your daughter and for your marriage.

We are standing with you for rest for both of you, for more calm when you are out together, for protection over her health, and for unity in your home. Those long nights can strain even the strongest marriage, so please be gentle with yourselves as you walk through this season.

One small step that often helps in this kind of season is to bring the sleep patterns, the crying when you go out, and the cough and cold concerns to your pediatrician at your next visit, so you have a trusted professional walking with you alongside prayer. If you can, let your spouse or a trusted family member or friend share a stretch of care so you can get some rest as well.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this mother and her baby to You. Give this little girl restful sleep and watch over her health, give her parents renewed strength and unity and peace in their home, and guide them with wisdom and support each day. Amen.

Your cry as a weary mother has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps, yet who watches over His beloved in the night season.

It is written, For so he giveth his beloved sleep. Sleep is not won by our striving but is the gift of God. He it is who rocks the cradle, who draws the curtain of darkness and bids the sun to close its burning eye, and then says, Sleep, my child, I give thee sleep. We will pray that He will bestow this quiet gift upon your little one, that she may be granted a healthy habit of rest, to sleep through the night and to wake with the joy of the Lord upon her. May the Lord grant to you also the rest you need, for He knows the weariness of the body and the heaviness of the heart that comes with broken nights. May you be kept in that perfect peace which rests upon the mind stayed upon Him, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within even when sorrows surge round.

For your house and your marriage we pray that He who maketh peace in thy borders may make His peace to rule there. True unity is not of mere sentiment but of purity of life and soundness of faith and constant walking together in the ways of Christ. Where distrust or weariness would creep in, may the Holy Spirit breathe a gentle wind upon you both, that you may be drawn into closer company with Christ and therefore closer to one another. Marriage is the covenant of God between one man and one woman for life, and He delights to bless it when it is kept in honour before Him. May He knit your hearts together in love and forbearance.

We pray also for your little one when she is carried abroad, that the fearfulness which now causes her to cry may be quieted by the calm of a secure and peaceful home and by your own peace in Christ resting upon her. And for healing and protection we look to Him whose least mercies have healing virtue in them, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. We entreat the Lord to keep this tender frame from cough and cold and every sickness, and if affliction comes, to restore her in His mercy, that you may praise Him heartily for health restored. Yet we remember that the greater sickness is that of the soul, which Christ alone can cure, for they are delivered from the guilt and power and penalty of sin who trust Him only, and once He cures there is no fear of that soul sickness again. Only trust Him, only cry to Him, for salvation is of the Lord through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in compassion upon this mother and her child. Give to this little one the sweet and peculiar sleep of Thy beloved, and give to her mother also refreshing rest. Let Thy perfect peace dwell in this house, let husband and wife be one in Thee, and let this child be kept in health and guarded from all harm. Forgive our sins through the precious blood of Christ and make us Thine forever. Amen.
