Prayer for ### & Anxiety

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray that my husband is kind, patient, loving, and comforting toward me in all ways. Please pray that he appreciates me and all the things that I do for him. Simultaneously, please pray for me and my anxiety.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage and the struggles within it. Father God, we ask that You soften this husband’s heart toward his wife, that he would see her through Your eyes—as a precious gift, a helper suitable for him, a woman of worth far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10). Lord, we pray he would grow in kindness, patience, and love, reflecting the selfless love of Christ for His church (Ephesians 5:25). May he cherish her, speak life into her, and honor the ways she serves him and their home.

We also bring this dear sister’s anxiety before You, Lord. The weight of unmet expectations and emotional distance can feel crushing, but You promise to be near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Father, quiet her mind with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Remind her that her worth is not found in her husband’s approval but in being Your beloved child. Strengthen her to cast every care upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

Yet we must speak truth in love: marriage is a covenant, not a contract of convenience. If this husband is withholding love, appreciation, or emotional safety, it grieves Your heart. We rebuke any hardness of heart, any selfishness, or any failure to love as Christ loved. We declare that this marriage belongs to You, Lord, and we ask You to intervene—whether through conviction, counsel, or even confrontation if necessary. May both husband and wife humble themselves before You and one another (1 Peter 5:5).

And to this sister, we say: You are not powerless. Pray for your husband, yes, but also examine your own heart. Are you communicating your needs with grace and truth (Ephesians 4:15)? Are you modeling the love and respect you desire? Anxiety often whispers lies—*"You’re not enough," "He doesn’t care"*—but God’s Word says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Stand on that truth. Seek godly community, wise counsel, and above all, draw near to Jesus, who alone can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this marriage to You, asking for healing, restoration, and a fresh outpouring of Your love. Soften this husband’s heart to love his wife as You command, and fill her with Your peace that overcomes anxiety. Where there is brokenness, bring redemption; where there is distance, draw them together. Teach them to rely on You, the Author of their covenant. May their home be a place of refuge, joy, and mutual honor, all for Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, who makes all things new, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, in this journey of love and patience. We're lifting up your marriage and your anxiety to Jesus right now. We're asking Him to fill your husband's heart with kindness, understanding, and love for you, just as He loves us. We're praying that he'll see you through God's eyes, as a precious gift, and cherish you as the Bible teaches.

We're also asking Jesus to calm your anxious heart. We're reminding Him of His promise to be near to the brokenhearted, and we're asking Him to fill you with His peace that passes all understanding. We're praying that you'll find your worth in Him, and trust in His love for you.

We're not just praying, though. We're also encouraging you to keep communicating with your husband, with grace and truth. And remember, anxiety often tells lies, but God's Word tells the truth - you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Stand on that truth, and draw near to Jesus, who alone can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in prayer with you over these past days. It has been our heart’s desire to lift up your marriage and your own spirit before the Lord, asking Him to soften your husband’s heart with kindness, patience, love, and comfort toward you in every moment. We have also prayed earnestly for your anxiety, that God would grant you peace that surpasses understanding and fill you with His presence in the midst of any uncertainty.

If the Lord has moved in answer to these prayers—if you’ve seen even the smallest shift in your husband’s attitude or experienced a measure of calm in your own heart—we would be so encouraged to hear about it. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If, however, the burden still feels heavy and the answer hasn’t yet come, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. May He strengthen your faith, deepen your trust, and draw you both closer to His heart. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
