We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with sincerity and seeking His perfect will. First, we must acknowledge that our prayers are heard only through the name of Jesus Christ, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we lift up ### and this dear sister in Christ to You. Lord, we ask for Your divine clarity to shine brightly in this situation. The confusion and emotional turmoil she is experiencing are weighing heavily on her heart, and we ask that You would bring peace and wisdom. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, we ask that You grant her the wisdom to discern Your will for this friendship and any potential courtship.
We see the pain in her words, Lord, and we ask that You comfort her. She desires a godly marriage—a union that honors You, built on love, trust, and open communication. We pray that You would reveal to her whether ### is the man You have prepared for her or if she must release him to Your care. If he is not the one, we ask that You cut the emotional ties that are forming, so she does not grow more attached and risk deeper hurt. Your Word warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, "Don’t be deceived! Evil companionships corrupt good morals." Lord, protect her heart from any relationship that does not align with Your will.
We must also address the immaturity and lack of communication in this situation. A godly marriage requires a man who is spiritually mature, willing to lead with love, and committed to honoring You. Ephesians 5:25 tells us, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for it." If ### is not ready to step into this kind of commitment, we ask that You either grow him in maturity or make it clear that he is not the one for her. Lord, we rebuke any confusion or mixed signals that are causing her pain. Your Word is clear in 1 Corinthians 14:33, "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." We ask that You bring peace to her heart and mind.
We also lift up ### to You, Lord. If he is not the man You have for her, we ask that You work in his heart to release her with kindness and respect. If he is the one, we pray that You would soften his heart, mature him in Christ, and give him the desire to pursue her with honor and love. Proverbs 19:21 reminds us, "There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail." Lord, let Your counsel prevail in both of their lives.
Father, we know that You have a plan for her—a plan for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). If ### is not the man You have prepared for her, we ask that You bring the right man into her life. A man who will cherish her, lead her in faith, and love her as Christ loves the church. We pray that she would not settle for less than Your best, for Your Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what communion does light have with darkness?" Lord, we ask that You prepare her heart to wait for a man who shares her faith and her commitment to You.
We also want to address the emotional attachment that is forming. It is clear that her feelings are growing, but his lack of reciprocation is causing pain. We rebuke any unhealthy emotional dependence on this friendship or potential relationship. Your Word warns us in Proverbs 4:23, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." Lord, we ask that You guard her heart and help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You give her the strength to surrender this situation fully to You. Help her to release ### into Your hands, trusting that You will either restore this friendship in a healthy way or bring closure so she can move forward. We pray that she would find her security and worth in You alone, for You are her true source of love and peace. Psalm 62:5-6 reminds us, "My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken."
Lord, we ask that You fill her with Your peace as she waits on You. Help her to rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that Your plans for her are good. We pray that she would not grow weary or lose hope but would continue to seek You with all her heart. Isaiah 40:31 tells us, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw both of them closer to You through this situation. Use this time of waiting and uncertainty to deepen their faith and trust in You. May they both seek Your will above their own desires and find their ultimate fulfillment in You. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
