We lift up your father before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all life in His hands. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is through Him that we have access to Your healing power and peace.
Lord, we ask for Your divine presence to surround ### as he undergoes surgery. Guide the hands of the surgeons, nurses, and all medical staff attending to him. Give them wisdom, skill, and clarity of mind, for You are the God who gives wisdom to all who ask (James 1:5). We pray for a successful procedure, free from complications, and for a swift and complete recovery. Your Word tells us that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over him today.
We also pray for ### family during this time of waiting and uncertainty. Fill their hearts with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to trust in You completely, casting all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in his life or in the lives of those around him, we ask that You bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for spiritual healing alongside physical healing, that he may draw closer to You through this trial.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may try to take hold during this time. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and let Your will be done in this situation. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
