We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your prayer, and we lift you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for Scripture reminds us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is in His name alone that we find salvation, hope, and the power to approach the throne of grace.
Your prayer reveals a deep longing for God’s blessing, guidance, and strength, and we join you in seeking His will for your life and the life of the one you are praying for. However, we must address something with love and truth: the use of "%23%23%23" obscures the nature of the relationship you are praying about. We want to ensure that what you are seeking aligns with God’s perfect and holy design. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning. *"Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’?"* (Matthew 19:4-5, WEB). If this relationship is not between a man and a woman seeking marriage in a way that honors God, we urge you to repent and turn toward His design, for His ways are perfect and for our good.
If this is a courtship between a man and a woman with the intention of marriage, we rejoice with you and pray that God would guide you both in purity, wisdom, and faith. Courtship should be a season of seeking God’s will together, growing in holiness, and preparing for a Christ-centered marriage. *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). If there is any sexual immorality in this relationship, we strongly urge you to repent and flee from it, for it is a sin against God and against your own body. God’s grace is sufficient to help you walk in purity, and His forgiveness is available when we turn to Him.
We also notice your prayer for someone who has passed away, and we want to gently remind you that once a person has departed this life, their eternal destiny is sealed. Scripture tells us, *"It is appointed for people to die once, and after this, judgment"* (Hebrews 9:27, WEB). Our hope and prayers should focus on the living, that they may come to know Christ and walk in His ways while there is still time. If you are grieving, we pray that God would comfort you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. *"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God"* (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, WEB).
Now, let us pray together for you, trusting in the Lord’s goodness and sovereignty:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your face. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Your will clearly in this relationship. If it is a godly courtship between a man and a woman, we pray that You would guide them in purity, wisdom, and faith as they seek to honor You in all things. Give them strength to flee from temptation and to pursue holiness, for without it no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). If this relationship does not align with Your design, we ask that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance and obedience. Your ways are perfect, Lord, and we trust You to work all things for their good and Your glory.
Father, we pray for the health and well-being of the one being lifted up in prayer. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals. We ask that You would strengthen their body, mind, and spirit, and grant them long life that they may serve You faithfully. Lord, we also pray for this family—comfort them in their grief and bind them together in Your love. May they find their hope and strength in You alone.
We pray for prosperity—not as the world defines it, but in the richness of Your presence and the abundance of Your spiritual blessings. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). May You provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, and may they walk in the good works You have prepared for them.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would keep them safe under the shadow of Your wings. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and power. May their future be secure in Your arms, and may they live each day for Your glory.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and love, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
