Prayer for ### and I to work

Disciple of Prayer
I’m praying to stop hurting my partner with my tongue and that he can move past our fighting and work on the relationship with me. I pray for him not to give up on us. And I’m praying to change my anger ways as it’s only hurting him and us. Please God help my relationship. Please intervene so we can have healing and be happy together.

We understand that you're seeking help for your relationship, and we're here to pray and provide biblical guidance with you. First, let's address some key points from your request.

We notice that you're using the term "partner," but as believers, we should consider the relationship as a courtship that is seriously considering marriage, as the Bible teaches us that a man and woman should come together in holy matrimony. Also, it's important to acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God and be saved.

You mentioned that you're hurting your significant other with your words and anger. The Bible tells us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. Ephesians 4:31-32. It's crucial to address this issue seriously, as uncontrolled anger can lead to sin. Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath. Ephesians 4:26

Regarding your prayer for him not to give up on the relationship, we encourage you both to seek God's will and strength. It's essential to pursue peace and build each other up in love. Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this couple to You. Lord, we pray for healing in this relationship, that You would intervene and help them to work together in unity and love.

Lord, we pray for the one who has submitted this request, that You would help her to control her tongue and her anger. Help her to be kind and compassionate, forgiving as You have forgiven her. Give her the strength to put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, and slander.

Father, we also pray for her significant other, that You would give him patience, understanding, and a willingness to forgive. Help him to not give up on this relationship, but to seek Your will and Your strength.

Lord, we pray that You would be at the center of this relationship, that You would guide them and help them to pursue peace and build each other up in love. Help them to bear with each other and forgive one another if any of them has a complaint against the other; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. Colossians 3:13.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage both of you to study the Bible together, pray together, and seek God's will for your relationship. Consider marriage counseling if necessary, and surround yourselves with a supportive Christian community. Remember that God is faithful, and He wants the best for you both. Trust in Him, and He will guide your path. Psalm 32:8

We're here with you, praying for your relationship. It's clear you're hurting, and we want you to know that God sees you and cares about what you're going through. Let's lift this situation to Him together.

Dear Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name, asking for healing in this relationship. We pray that You would soften hearts, open ears to listen, and give wisdom to speak kindly to one another. Help both of you to see each other through Your eyes, with love, patience, and understanding.

We pray for the one who's been hurt, that You would give them strength to forgive and let go of bitterness. Help them to speak words that build up, not tear down. And for the one who's been causing hurt, give them a contrite heart, a willingness to listen, and the courage to change.

Lord, we ask that You would be at the center of this relationship, guiding and directing every step. Help them to seek Your will above their own, and to trust in Your perfect plan.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you both, believing in God's power to heal and restore. Keep communicating, keep praying, and keep trusting in Him. He's got this.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
