Prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this earnest plea for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, lifting up the team at and their legal representatives before the throne of grace. Your Word declares, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6 WEB). Lord, we ask that You ignite this holy hunger in their hearts, may they crave Your truth more than the approval of men, more than the fleeting comforts of this world.

We stand on the promise that "the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" (Proverbs 9:10 WEB). Father, we pray that these individuals would come to fear You above all else, that their hearts would be broken over their sins, and that they would turn from deceit and injustice. Your Word warns, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness" (Isaiah 5:20 WEB). Expose the lies they have believed, Lord, and replace them with the light of Your truth.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has blinded them, for "Satan, the deceiver of the whole world" (Revelation 12:9 WEB) seeks to keep them in bondage. But we declare that "if therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We plead the blood of Jesus over every believer among them, asking for Your protection, wisdom, and peace. May they walk in the righteousness that comes from faith, not in the self-righteousness of human achievement.

We acknowledge that education and worldly success do not guarantee godliness, "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (1 Corinthians 3:19 WEB). Lord, humble their hearts before You, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6 WEB). May they offer You not empty sacrifices, but a broken and contrite spirit, which You will not despise (Psalm 51:17).

We grieve with you over the disregard for human life and honest communication. Your Word commands, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13 WEB) and "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor" (Ephesians 4:25 WEB). Convict them of these sins, Lord, and lead them to repentance. May they hate sin as You hate it and turn from it with all their hearts.

We thank You for the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). We exalt the name of Jesus, for "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We pray all these things in His mighty name, trusting that Your will be done.

Lord, we ask that You would:
- Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel.
- Break the chains of deception and pride.
- Fill them with a hunger for Your Word and Your ways.
- Grant them the courage to walk in righteousness, even when it costs them.
- Surround them with godly influences who will point them to Christ.

May they become vessels of Your truth and justice, shining Your light in the darkness. We trust in Your power to transform hearts and lives, for "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). Let Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, in their lives as it is in heaven. Amen.

We hear the grief in your prayer, and we stand with you in lifting up the team you’ve named. It’s a heavy thing to watch people use their knowledge and position to disregard truth and human life, and your response, to pray rather than simply rail, is a mark of Christ’s Spirit working in you.

We join you in asking God to give them an unquenchable thirst for what is right. There’s a profound difference between someone merely feeling sorry they got caught and a genuine, godly sorrow that leads to a changed life. Your prayer for a broken and contrite heart hits that mark exactly. God does not despise that kind of heart; He welcomes it and works with it. So when we pray for these lawyers and representatives, we’re not just asking for a temporary regret but for a deep, inner reorientation that makes sin unattractive to them and righteousness compelling.

As you keep bringing this before the Lord, we’d encourage you to guard your own heart, too. Long-term grief over others’ wrongdoing can sometimes curdle into bitterness if we’re not careful. Keep releasing the outcome to God. He alone knows the full picture of their hearts and the steps that will truly turn them. Your part is to love them from a distance through prayer and to trust God’s perfect blend of justice and mercy.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to work deeply in the hearts of this legal team. Grant them the kind of sorrow that produces repentance and leads to real change. Open their eyes to the value of every human life and to the freedom that comes with honesty. And please give our friend here Your steady peace, an anchor for their soul as they wait and pray. In Your name, amen.

Thou hast rightly cried out for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and thy prayer goeth up before the throne as incense. Yet know this: no man thirsteth after righteousness until the Sun of Righteousness hath first risen upon him with healing in His wings. Thou dost grieve over souls bound by Satan’s lies, lawyers who walk in darkness, and thou dost plead for their deliverance. That is well, but remember, Christ alone is the center and King of all truth; apart from Him no man shall see light. It is not diplomas in law nor the wisdom of this world that maketh a man righteous, for education puffeth up, but love buildeth up. The most learned may grope in midnight gloom, while the simple-hearted who look unto Jesus walk in noonday brightness. Therefore, when thou prayest for these that they may thirst for righteousness, thy request is in truth that they might behold the Lord our Righteousness, for there is no other Fountain.

Take heed, though, lest in mourning over their sins thou slip into the ditch of self-righteousness. Thou sayest plainly thou dost not boast before God nor look down upon them, and that is good, for the very moment a man dareth to talk of his own righteousness, he declareth himself graceless. That broken and contrite heart thou spakest of from the fifty-first Psalm, that is the sacrifice God will not despise, but none of us can produce it of ourselves. It is the work of the Holy Ghost to rend the rock and make the waters of repentance flow. If these lawyers ever taste of true sorrow for sin, it must be by a sight of Christ crucified, whom they have pierced. Pray then, not that they become moral enough to satisfy human law, but that the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ may be laid hold of by faith. A sinner justified is a greater wonder than a moralist reformed.

Thou askest for them an unquenchable thirst for truth. Then bid them buy the truth, and sell it not. But what is the truth? Our Lord said, “Thy Word is truth.” And again, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” To thirst for truth is to thirst for Christ, the incarnate Word. Doctrinal truth, experimental truth, practical truth, all meet in Him. They must learn that the highest law is the law of love written on the heart by the Spirit, else their legal learning is but a staff of a broken reed. It grieveth thee that they disregard human life and honest communication; but remember that every sin against man is a sin against God, and only when they see that they are ungodly, deserving wrath, will they flee to the propitiation set forth. God set forth Christ to declare His righteousness, that He might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Let that truth be the arrow in thy quiver as thou intercedest.

The battle for truth waxeth hot and fierce, and thou must not sheath thy sword. Stand and cry mightily unto God for these souls, but also speak truth to them in love when opportunity ariseth. The Sun of Righteousness shall arise, and His going forth is prepared as the morning. He shall save His people from their sins, and from the self-righteousness which is a smoldering heap of rubbish in His nostrils. Keep thine own armor on and thy loins girt about with truth. In the day when these lawyers are made to loathe their fine arguments and cast themselves upon Christ alone, thou shalt see the desire of thine heart. Till then, let thy prayer be fixed on this: “Jehovah Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness, be their covering and their peace.” And give God no rest until He make this word true in their experience, for He delighteth to answer such petitions as glorify His Son.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have prayed rightly, desiring for those lawyers an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Such a thirst is blessed indeed, for the Lord Himself cried out, “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Yet mark this: no one kindles such thirst by mere learning or high station. It is the gift of the Spirit, that living water which Christ promised. He calls, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.” And those who drink of that water shall never thirst again; it shall become within them a well springing up unto everlasting life. Many study the law and remain dry as desert sand, for they thirst after gain or praise, not after God. Pray, therefore, that they may come to the Fountain Himself and be washed.

Your grief over their sins is fitting, yet consider what the sacrifice is that God accepts: not lengthy prayers alone, but a broken spirit, a contrite heart. The psalmist’s cry is the true door of repentance. Stir them not simply to fear, but to hate their iniquity with such intensity that they flee from it as from fire. For Scripture warns that if we sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation. That fire is indeed unquenchable. But while a soul still draws breath, the balm of repentance is not withheld. Urge them, therefore, to lay hold of righteousness, to put on the breastplate of a life of universal virtue, which no assault of the wicked one can pierce.

And you who intercede, let your own soul be inflamed with this same thirst. Transfer every longing for earthly things to the pursuit of goodness, righteousness, and truth. Show forth the fruit of the Spirit in all things, proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord. Increase the fruits of your righteousness by almsgiving, for like seed scattered, it springs up into a boundless harvest of mercy. Do not cease to pray for them, but remember that the water Christ gives quenches all thirst for sin and refreshes the soul eternally. May the Lord look upon us all and grant that broken and contrite heart, that we may never thirst except for Him, and may we become gardens watered by His grace, ever flourishing.

Your prayer itself is a sign that the Spirit is already at work, because no one truly hungers and thirsts for righteousness unless God has first stirred that longing in the heart. What you are asking for yourself and for those lawyers is exactly what Jesus described when He said, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” It sounds unearthly, and it is, because it is a thirst no law degree, no argument, and no human effort can quench.

We often imagine that the educated, the articulate, the powerful must naturally walk in truth. Yet Scripture is painfully honest that we can chase after righteousness through our own making and never attain it. A person can study justice and still be blind to the righteous character of God. It is possible to have zeal for what is right according to a human code and yet remain ignorant of the righteousness that comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. They go about trying to establish their own righteousness, and they have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God.

When you ask the Lord to give them a contrite heart, you are asking for the very thing He does not despise. A broken spirit is the beginning of genuine thirst. As long as a person believes their own reservoir is full, they will never come to the well. But when the true revelation of God brings a true revelation of self, and we see that our own righteousness is a filthy garment, then the desperate thirst begins. It drives us out of ourselves and toward Christ, because He is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Jesus did not merely say He would give water; He said the water He gives would become a well springing up into everlasting life. Physical satisfactions, emotional vindication, even winning a case, all leave a person thirsting again. Write that over every ambition. Only Jesus satisfies the spiritual thirst for a meaningful relationship with the living God. The righteousness that exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees is not a stricter performance. It is the very righteousness of Christ, imparted to us through faith, imputed to us as a gift. That is what you are really praying for them to discover, whether in a courtroom or in the quiet of a sleepless night.

The Spirit of truth has been given to reprove the world of sin and of righteousness. His testimony does not just point out a better way to behave. He testifies of righteousness precisely because Jesus has gone to the Father. The standard is no longer a shifting human one; it is the ascended, glorified Christ. The Spirit bears witness that true righteousness is found only in Him. Pray with confidence then, because the thirst you are asking God to create in them is the very thirst He promises to fill. Keep bringing them before the throne, not boasting over their failures, but acknowledging that we all must be sanctified through the truth, for His word is truth.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, not only in your own heart but also in the hearts of those involved in this legal battle. It is a powerful thing to intercede on behalf of others, especially those who may be bound by deception, and we have joined you in lifting up the team at ###, their lawyers, and all who are connected to this situation.

We have prayed fervently that the precious blood of Jesus would cover and protect those who are chosen and walking in faith, that they would be filled with peace, understanding, and a deep compassion for righteousness. We have asked the Lord to break the chains of sin and deception that may be influencing those who have strayed, particularly those in positions of influence who have allowed themselves to be entangled in unrighteousness. We have echoed your cry for their hearts to be softened, for their eyes to be opened to the truth, and for them to turn away from evil with a godly sorrow that leads to repentance.

It is our heart’s desire, as it is yours, that the Lord would stir within them an unshakable hunger for His truth and a passion for His righteousness. We have lifted up Psalm 51 before the throne of grace, asking that God would create in them a broken and contrite spirit—one that He will not despise. We have prayed that they would come to hate sin as God hates it and that they would no longer disregard the value of human life or the importance of honest communication.

If the Lord has already moved in response to these prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. Please share how God is working so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, you feel that the answer has not yet come, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, standing in the gap until the Lord brings about His perfect will in this situation.

May the Holy Spirit continue to intercede on your behalf, and may you be strengthened as you seek the Lord with all your heart. We pray that His truth would prevail, that His righteousness would shine forth, and that His name would be glorified in all things. May God bless you abundantly as you press into Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
