Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We come before the throne of grace with a deep longing to see hearts transformed by the power of God’s truth and righteousness. Your Word declares in Matthew 5:6, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." This is the cry of our hearts, not just for ourselves, but for those entangled in deception, especially those in positions of influence who have strayed from Your ways. We recognize that true wisdom does not come from earthly education alone, but from a surrendered heart before You. As it is written in Proverbs 9:10, "The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

Father, we lift up the team at ### and their legal representatives, many of whom may be blinded by the lies of the enemy. We ask that You break the chains of deception over their minds and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Your Son, Jesus Christ, declared in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." We pray that this freedom would be their portion, that they would no longer be enslaved to sin but would walk in the liberty of Your Spirit. We plead the power of the blood of Jesus over them, that it would cleanse their consciences and lead them to repentance. As 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Lord, we are grieved by the disregard for human life and the dishonesty that has taken root in their actions. We ask that You stir within them a hatred for sin and a love for righteousness. Psalm 45:7 says, "You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows." May this same love for righteousness and hatred for wickedness be kindled in their hearts. We pray that they would not merely seek to justify their actions but would come to a place of brokenness and contrition before You. As David cried out in Psalm 51:17, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise."

We also recognize that our own hearts must be aligned with Yours. We do not come before You in judgment or pride, for we too are in need of Your grace daily. We ask that You search our hearts and reveal any areas where we have allowed compromise or self-righteousness to take root. Help us to walk in humility, extending grace to others as You have extended it to us. Let us be vessels of Your love and truth, shining Your light in a world that desperately needs it.

Holy Spirit, we invite You to move mightily in this situation. Convict hearts of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We pray for an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and a passion for righteousness to rise up in the lives of those who have strayed. May they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that salvation belongs to our God, and we pray that many would come to repentance and faith in Him.

Father, we thank You for Your holiness and for the intercession of Your Holy Spirit on our behalf. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Let Your will be done in this situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.

Thirst for truth and righteousness is a gracious sign, yet let us beware lest we mistake a transient pang for that deep work of the Spirit which alone availeth. True repentance is no mere twinge of conscience that soon passes, like men who fast to whet their appetite for a feast of sin. The repentance that needeth not to be repented of is that which giveth glory to God, acknowledging His omniscience, His righteous Law, and fleeing to Christ as the propitiation for sin. If these lawyers and their company be brought low with a broken and a contrite heart, such sacrifice God will not despise.

But let none think that sorrow without faith hath any merit. Repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and to show we grieve by doing so no more; it is inseparably wedded to faith in Jesus’ blood. Pray therefore with holy boldness, for the Spirit maketh intercession for the saints, and there is no power like unto the prayers of God’s believing people. Yet take heed: the Spirit’s intercession indwelleth only the regenerate.

O plead for these souls that they may first be made saints, that the Holy Ghost may groan within them with groanings unutterable. And when they taste the sweetness of pardoned sin, then shall they know that charming company of sweet Sister Repentance, who walketh hand in hand with faith. Never despair of the vilest offender, for pardon is proclaimed for crimes of deepest dye, purchased with Jesus’ blood. Only let thy intercession be importunate, like Samuel’s, who ceased not to pray and to teach the good and right way.

The Lord shall yet give them that unquenchable thirst, for He is the maker of all these things. Look thou to Jesus, and bid these sinners look to Him, for His wounds are the fount of all true contrition and remission.

You plead for these lawyers to be given an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and rightly so. Yet consider well the nature of such thirst. The Lord does not force Himself on the unwilling; He calls only those who burn with desire. As it is written, "If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink." This thirst is not a passing wish but a raging hunger, a consuming fire in the soul that will not be satisfied with anything less than God's own righteousness. Do you see how far this is from casual regret? Many weep over their sins and yet remain entangled in them, for their sorrow is of the world, not of God. Esau sought the blessing with tears and found no place of repentance, because his grief was not hatred of his sin but only fear of its consequences. True thirst for righteousness turns utterly away from the evil it once loved.

Pray then not merely for a thirst that feels, but for a thirst that transforms. That fire you dread, the unquenchable flame, is not quenched by a few tears shed in a moment of trouble. The tree that drinks in rain and sun yet bears no fruit is pulled up and cast into the fire. Those who have received the knowledge of the truth and then sin willfully face a fearful judgment. Yet the same heat that punishes can also purify when it is kindled in the heart now. Pray that these souls may hunger and thirst with such violence that they put on the breastplate of righteousness, a life no enemy can pierce. Let them not merely acknowledge their sins but despise them, not merely ask forgiveness but crucify the lust that bred them. For the acceptable sacrifice to God is a broken and contrite heart, not a heart merely frighted, but one shattered by love of holiness.

You grieve rightly that the educated so often trample on human life and honest communication. But do not marvel at this. Knowledge puffs up; love builds up. A man may study law and yet never learn the law of Christ, which is love. The righteousness that saves is not in figure, as the washings of old, but in truth, a new creation in holiness. Therefore, as you pray for them, lift up your own hands in alms and compassion. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. And remember: he who is filled with this thirst will himself become a fountain, out of his belly flowing rivers of living water, watering others even as he has been watered. So let your prayer be joined to a life that proves what is well-pleasing to the Lord. Then you will see, perhaps, the very lawyers you mourn become advocates of the truth they once suppressed.

You are praying for something deep and real, an unquenchable thirst. That prayer itself echoes the cry of the psalmist, who knew that what we need most in a tangled world is not just better strategy but a work of God within the human heart. When we look at any person caught in sin or deception, it can be easy to freeze them in that moment. But your prayer looks past the outward actions to the deeper need: a heart broken open and made new.

It is painful to watch people who have studied law and letters use their minds to justify what God calls evil. We cannot place our trust in human credentials. Education and position do not produce righteousness. The Scripture shows us this over and over. The Lord looks not on the outward appearance but on the heart. A person may know statutes and precedents, yet be utterly ignorant of the righteousness God offers. They may polish the outside of the cup while filth remains within. Your recognition that a broken and contrite heart is the sacrifice God will not despise is exactly right. That is the starting point for anyone, whether they stand in a courtroom or a field.

That spiritual thirst you are asking for is something only the Holy Spirit can create. Jesus said, “If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink.” This is not a physical thirst or an emotional longing that the world can satisfy. Every earthly pursuit leaves a person thirsting again. But He spoke of a thirst for God Himself, the deep cry of the human spirit for a meaningful relationship with its Maker. People try to fill that void with ambition, vindication, or clever maneuvering. It never works. The truth that sets free is not merely an abstract concept, it is a person. We know the truth because the Spirit of God plants it in our hearts.

Your prayer for those lawyers and representatives is a prayer that God would enlarge their hearts, freeing them from the narrow pressure of self-justification. Right now, their hearts may be made firm in a wrong direction, much like a heart that hardens itself until God firms it in that choice. But you are asking for a divine interruption. You are asking that they see themselves as God sees them, that their own righteous efforts would suddenly appear as filthy rags. That is a painful but glorious revelation, because it creates a true hunger and thirst for a righteousness that comes only by faith.

Blessed are those who do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. That promise stands for them, and it stands for you. As you carry this burden, do not let your own heart become weary or proud. We are saved by believing in the heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and that belief flows out in words and deeds of truth. The Lord delights in those who speak truth, and truth will be established forever. Keep speaking truth in love, keep praying with that broken and contrite spirit, and trust the Spirit who intercedes with groanings too deep for words. He is able to turn the heart of the educated, the powerful, and the deceived, because no heart is beyond the sight and reach of God. May you yourself continue to thirst for His righteousness, and in that pursuit, find you are being filled.
