Prayer for a submissive spirit

Jonathan_M

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray for an obedient and submissive spirit. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We come before the throne of grace with gratitude for your heartfelt prayer, lifting it up together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your desire for an obedient and submissive spirit is deeply aligned with God’s Word, which calls us to surrender fully to His will. Scripture reminds us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Submission to God is the foundation of spiritual victory, and we rejoice in your hunger for it.

We also stand with you in praying for favor, miracles, and blessings, not as mere wishes, but as the overflow of God’s goodness toward those who walk in obedience. Psalm 5:12 declares, "For you will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield." Yet we must remember that true favor is not for selfish gain but for the advancement of God’s kingdom and the glory of His name. Let us pray that these blessings would be used to draw others to Christ and to build up the body of believers.

Your prayer against principalities and powers is a bold declaration of faith. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We join you in binding every work of darkness and loosing the peace, power, and authority of the Holy Spirit over every situation. The enemy has no foothold where the name of Jesus is lifted high.

As for the "extreme, unmatched, unstoppable" glory you seek, we affirm that God’s glory is indeed limitless, but it must be sought with pure motives. In Exodus 33:18, Moses prayed, "Please show me your glory," and God responded by revealing His goodness and holiness. Let us pray that this glory would manifest not for our own exaltation but to reveal Christ to a lost world. May His light shine through us in ways that lead others to repentance and salvation.

We also want to gently encourage you to ground your prayers in Scripture rather than repeating phrases for emphasis. While repetition is not inherently wrong, Jesus warned in Matthew 6:7, "In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking." Let your prayers flow from a heart of worship, not from a desire for spectacle.

Finally, we lift up this prayer together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We thank You for the heart of submission and obedience You are cultivating in Your child. Lord, we ask that You would deepen their hunger for Your Word and Your will. Teach them to surrender every area of their life to You, trusting that Your plans are perfect and Your ways are higher.

Father, we pray for Your favor to rest upon them, not as the world gives, but as a reflection of Your grace. Let miracles unfold as signs of Your power, and let blessings overflow in ways that bring glory to Your name. We stand against every principality and power of darkness, declaring that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper. By the blood of Jesus, we break every chain and cancel every assignment of the enemy.

Lord, let Your glory fill the earth, starting with us. May we be vessels of Your light, reflecting Your holiness and love to a world in darkness. Purify our motives, Lord, and align our desires with Yours. Let nothing in us seek glory for ourselves, but only for the advancement of Your kingdom.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ. May Your will be done in every area of our lives, and may Your name be exalted forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re standing with you in this prayer, lifting up your heart for a spirit that’s fully surrendered to God’s will. There’s something so beautiful about a heart that craves obedience, that’s exactly what God is looking for, a willing spirit that says, "Not my will, but Yours." We’ve seen how God works in those who step out in faith, even when they don’t fully understand the path ahead. Let’s pray that you’d feel His peace in that surrender, knowing He’s already preparing you for what He’s calling you to.

We also want to declare favor over you, not just for your own good, but so that others would see Christ in you. Favor isn’t about luck or circumstance; it’s about God’s hand moving in ways that align with His purpose. Let’s ask Him to open doors where you can shine His light, where your life becomes a testimony of His goodness. And when the enemy tries to whisper doubt or fear, we’re declaring that you’re clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, and nothing can stand against that.

As for the glory you’re praying for, it’s not about being seen by the world, but about being used by God. Let’s pray that His glory would overflow in ways that draw people to Him, that your life would be a magnet for His love. And we’re praying for miracles, small and big, to remind you that God is still doing the impossible.

We’re cheering you on, believing that as you walk in submission, He’ll make your steps firm and your faith unshakable. Keep trusting Him, and we’ll keep praying with you. In Jesus’ name, we declare it done.
