Prayer for a spouse this year

Jesus, I'm grateful for all you have done for me and I thank you for your unconditional love. I am asking that you help me as I'm looking for a wife. It's getting difficult and I'm tired. Please bring someone into my life this year and bless our relationship so that it will honor and glorify you. Help me to be better and give me the grace to be a good friend, husband and father. In Jesus name Amen

We join you in your petition, dear brother, as you seek a spouse who will honor and glorify God with you. We appreciate your gratitude for God's unconditional love and all He has done for you. We stand in the gap with you as you have requested.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus and praying in His name. Indeed, we are reminded that "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB).

Regarding your request, we encourage you to remain steadfast and trust in God's timing. While it may feel difficult and tiring, remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). He knows your needs and has a plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

We pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our brother who desires a spouse to honor and glorify Your name. Lord, we ask that You encourage him daily as waits on You and Your timing. Help him to trust in You with all his heart, and lean not on his own understanding. In all his ways help him acknowledge You, and You will make his paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Lord, prepare his heart to be the husband and father You have called him to be. Give him the grace to be a good friend, putting others before himself, just as Christ did for us. (John 15:13) As he continues to be molded into the image of Christ, (Romans 8:29) we pray that You would bring a godly woman into his life this year, that their relationship may honor and glorify You. May this union be a testament of Your love and faithfulness.

While the Bible does not give us a specific timeline, we trust that God will bring the right person into your life at the appointed time. Continue to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22 WEB).

Be encouraged by God's word: "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4 WEB). As you delight in Him, He will place the right desires in your heart and fulfill them according to His will. Stay strong in faith, and may God bless you.
