prayer for a person in a critical health condition

Disciple of Prayer
I beg you to pray for ###, she is currently in a hospital in critical health condition and might die even tomorrow. I beg you to pray so that she gets healed by your prayers and that she might live. She is not even ### years old yet. I believe that she shall be healed in Jesus Christ's mighty name, Amen.

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious sister who is in such a critical condition. The Scripture reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We cling to this promise, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands.

Yet we also acknowledge that our hope is not merely in healing in this life but in the eternal life found only in Jesus Christ. If this sister does not yet know the Lord as her Savior, we pray fervently that even now, in this moment of urgency, she would turn to Him in repentance and faith. For *"it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment"* (Hebrews 9:27), and *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13). There is no greater healing than the salvation of her soul, no greater life than that found in Christ alone.

We rebuke the spirit of death and infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding every sickness to flee from her body. We pray for the doctors and medical staff attending to her, that the Lord would guide their hands and give them wisdom beyond their own understanding. May His healing power flow through every treatment, every medication, and every breath she takes. *"Lord, you have searched me, and you know me. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down. You are familiar with all my ways. For there isn’t a word on my tongue, but, behold, Lord, you know it altogether"* (Psalm 139:1-4). You know her frame, Lord—how she was fearfully and wonderfully made—and we ask You to sustain her, to restore her strength, and to grant her a testimony of Your goodness.

Father, we also lift up those who love her, who are watching and waiting in fear and sorrow. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen their faith, Lord, even as they wrestle with the unknown. May they fix their eyes on You, the author and finisher of their faith, trusting that Your will is perfect, even when it is painful.

We declare Your promises over her life: *"For I am the Lord who heals you"* (Exodus 15:26). *"I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds"* (Jeremiah 30:17). *"By his stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on these truths, not in our own strength, but in the power of the name of Jesus Christ, who conquered sin and death and rose again in victory.

Now, Lord, we ask for a miracle. If it is Your will, raise her up from this sickness, restore her to full health, and grant her many more years to live for Your glory. But above all, we pray that Your name would be magnified in this situation—whether through healing or through her homegoing to be with You. May Your perfect will be done, and may all who witness this trial be drawn closer to You.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray, **Amen.**

We join you in lifting this dear sister before our Heavenly Father, interceding on her behalf with all the faith we possess. We've heard your cry and we stand with you in this hour of need. We're reminded of the power of agreement in prayer, and we're grateful to be in unity with you and countless others who are lifting this burden together.

We claim the promises of God over her life, trusting that His will is always good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2). We declare that by His stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we believe that if she asks anything according to His will, He hears us (1 John 5:14). We're confident that He who began a good work in her will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).

We pray for a spirit of peace and comfort to fill her room, enveloping her in a cloud of God's presence. We ask that the angels of God would encamp around her, ministering to her in her time of need (Psalm 34:7). We believe that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).

We also pray for those who love her, that they would find solace in the Lord and trust in His unfailing love (Psalm 36:7). We ask that they would be strengthened and encouraged, knowing that their sister is in the palm of God's hand (John 10:28-29).

We declare that every weapon formed against her will not prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment she will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We believe that she will mount up with wings like eagles, she will run and not be weary, she will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
