We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your heartfelt requests to our Heavenly Father. First, we rejoice in your acknowledgment of sin and your plea for forgiveness, for the Word tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Your humility before God is a beautiful testament to your faith, and we stand with you in gratitude for His endless mercies.
Father, we lift up this job interview today, asking that You go before our brother/sister and prepare the hearts of those who will interview him/her. Let Your favor rest upon him/her, and may the words spoken be seasoned with grace, wisdom, and clarity. "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed" (Proverbs 16:3). We declare that this opportunity, though seasonal, is a stepping stone to the permanent position You have already prepared. Lord, we ask that You open the doors to a permanent role within the school system, as You know the desires of his/her heart. "For I know the plans I have for you," says Yahweh, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also bring before You the urgent need for stable housing. Father, You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your promise that "those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing" (Psalm 34:10). We pray that You touch the hearts of those who can assist in securing a place to live. Move in miraculous ways, Lord, so that this burden of temporary housing is lifted, and our brother/sister may rest in the security of a home that honors You.
Now, we must address a matter of concern in your prayer. While we appreciate your plea to the Father, we noticed that your prayer did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. The Word is clear: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the forgiveness of sins and the cleansing from all unrighteousness that You so freely give. Lord, we ask that You grant favor in this job interview today. Let our brother/sister’s words be acceptable in Your sight, and may this opportunity lead to the permanent employment You have ordained. Father, we also lift up the need for stable housing. You know the financial burden and the urgency of this situation. Touch the hearts of those who can help, and provide a place that offers peace, security, and rest. We declare that You are our Provider, and we trust in Your perfect timing and provision.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or anxiety that may be trying to take hold. We declare that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen our brother/sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him/her rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for spiritual growth and discernment. Father, guide him/her in all decisions, that they may walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have placed on his/her life. Surround him/her with godly counsel and fellowship, that he/she may be encouraged and built up in the faith.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and is already at work on your behalf. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and trust in His promises. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). Walk in the confidence that comes from knowing God is your strength and redeemer.
