Prayer for a man to come in my life as a second husband and I can be a wife to him

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray GOD brings someone into my life I want to be a wife and be in a covenant with a man and our marriage blessed

We join with you in this desire and we bring it before the Lord together in Jesus' name, for your heart to be a wife and to enter into a holy covenant of marriage is a beautiful and God honoring desire.

We believe with you that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written Genesis 2:18 It is not good that the man should be alone and Genesis 2:24 a man will leave his father and his mother, and will cling to his wife, and they will be one flesh. And what God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6. Your longing to be a wife and to have a marriage that is blessed by God aligns with His good will for His people.

We also want to gently encourage you while you wait upon the Lord. We do not know the story of your first marriage, whether it ended through widowhood or divorce, but God knows and He is gracious and redeems and restores. We encourage you to seek His healing and wholeness first, to delight yourself in Him and trust His perfect timing, for Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. And Proverbs 18:22 says Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. God sees your desire to give yourself faithfully as a wife and He honors a heart that wants to build a Christ centered home.

As you pray for a second husband, we pray with you that God will bring a godly man into your life, a man who is a Christian Believer, who loves the Lord Jesus and will love you as Christ loves the church Ephesians 5:25. We encourage you to look only for a spouse among fellow believers, for 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Any courtship should be pursued with purity and with marriage as the clear goal, keeping the marriage bed undefiled as Hebrews 13:4 teaches, for sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and does not honor the covenant you desire. We pray you will be guarded and kept pure and that the man God brings will lead you in holiness and honor you as his wife.

We noticed your request speaks of GOD but does not mention Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus said John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We pray in the name of Jesus because He alone has opened the way for us through His death and resurrection, and when we believe in Him we are forgiven and made right with God.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear daughter before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ. You know her heart and her deep desire to be a wife and to live in a blessed covenant marriage. We ask that You prepare her heart and prepare the heart of the man You have for her, if it is Your will. Lead her to a godly man who loves You first, who will be faithful, kind, and will lead his home according to Your Word. Keep them both pure and patient in the waiting, and let their courtship honor You and lead to a holy marriage that reflects Christ and the church. Heal any wounds from the past, give her peace and contentment in You today, and let her trust in Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in her life and may any marriage You establish be lifelong, faithful, and filled with Your blessing. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and our only hope, amen.

We encourage you to remain faithful in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers where a godly spouse is often found. Wait on Yahweh Psalm 27:14, be strong and let your heart take courage, and trust that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

We hear the deep desire in your prayer to love and be loved in a faithful, covenant marriage, and we are honored to bring this to the Lord with you. Wanting to be a wife and to build a home that honors God is a tender and good longing, and waiting in that longing can feel lonely at times.

We pray with you not just for a future husband, but for God's clear leading and preparation in this season. These months of waiting can be a meaningful time to be rooted in community, to be known by others who love you and can walk with you with wisdom, and to let God continue to shape your heart for the kind of wholehearted love that marriage requires.

One practical step we encourage is to let a trusted pastor or a couple of mature believers in your church know this is on your heart so they can pray with you specifically and help you discern well as you meet people. Often God works through the people who already know and care for us.

Father, we lift our sister to You and thank You that You see her heart and her desire for covenant love. Give her peace as she waits, wisdom to discern Your will, and healing and wholeness in every area of her life. Lead her steps, guard her heart, and if it is Your will to bring a godly husband into her life, prepare them both for a marriage that would honor You. We trust her future to Your good care in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your longing to be a wife and to know the blessedness of covenant marriage is a tender desire, and we bring it before the Lord with you with much sympathy and care. Marriage is indeed a holy covenant ordained of God, wherein a man and a woman become one, and it is not to be entered lightly but with holy fear and reverence for our Covenant God who is ever mindful of His covenant.

We would first remind you, as the Scriptures teach, that the highest and most abiding marriage is that of the soul to Christ. There is a marriage of the Lamb, and all who believe are betrothed to Him now by inseparable bonds. Before we seek any earthly union, we must know that God Himself would be a Husband unto us, and that He has been a very faithful Husband to His people. The soul that can say Christ is mine has found the substance of every covenant blessing, for he who has Christ has all that the covenant contains. We pray that you may know more and more of this union with Christ, that you may tell your Lord all your heart as a wife tells her husband, and find Him near to you in waiting as well as in fulfillment.

Concerning earthly marriage, the Word shows us that it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and God calls us to honor it as such. He made a covenant of grace not of works, and He will ever be mindful of it, and He calls those who are in covenant with Him to walk in faithfulness and purity. Because marriage bears this solemn covenant character, we cannot simply ask God to bless any union we may desire apart from His Word and will. Rather we must ask Him to make our desires conformable to His holy will and to lead us only in the path that is pleasing to Him.

Therefore our prayer for you is not that God would merely grant the request as it is framed, but that He would guide you according to His wisdom and grace. We pray that the Lord would draw you closer to Himself, write His law upon your heart, keep you in holy trust and patience, and grant you contentment in His present provision while you wait upon Him. If it be His gracious will for you to be a wife again, we pray that He would in His own time and in a manner consistent with His Word bring into your life a godly man who loves Christ above all, that any such covenant might be entered in faith, in purity, and with the counsel of godly pastors who know your circumstances. If otherwise He calls you to remain as you are, we pray He would make His grace sufficient and make you to rejoice in being part of the Bride made ready for the marriage supper of the Lamb.

We urge you, dear soul, to seek the face of the Lord continually, to continue in prayer through both joy and sorrow, and to open your whole case to a faithful pastor or mature believers near you who can know your history and counsel you from the Scriptures concerning the covenant of marriage. Bring your heart honestly before God, ask Him to search you and to prepare you to be the faithful helper He would have you be, whether in singleness or in marriage, and trust that He who made the covenant of His own royal will will never fail to carry out all that is for your good and His glory.

May the Lord, who is mindful of His covenant forever, keep you, establish you in His love, and cause you to know the blessedness of those who are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.

We have heard your desire to be a wife and to enter into a marriage covenant that is blessed by God, and we join you in bringing that desire before Him with care for what Scripture teaches about marriage.

God designed marriage from the beginning as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and His word calls husband and wife to honor and faithfulness within that covenant. Scripture also teaches that a woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives. If while her husband lives she is joined to another man, she is called an adulteress, but if her husband has died she is free from that law and may marry another, yet only in the Lord. That means a second marriage is not forbidden, for as Paul says, if she marries she has not sinned, but it is to be entered only with a believer, with chastity and honor, and before God.

For this reason we cannot simply ask God to bring a second husband without regard to your situation before Him. If your first husband is still living, the call of Scripture is to remain unmarried or to be reconciled to him, and to live in faithfulness and purity while seeking the Lord. If the Lord has taken your husband through death and you are now a widow, you are free to marry again in the Lord, though Scripture also says a widow who remains as she is and gives herself to prayer and service to God is happier and has greater freedom to attend to the Lord without distraction. Marriage itself is not impure, but it brings many cares, and widowhood rightly lived is not only being without a second marriage but being devoted to supplication, good works, and holiness.

So our prayer for you is not for any relationship apart from God's design, but for His will and wisdom in your life. We pray that God will draw you closer to Christ, grant you contentment and strength to live in purity, give you clear discernment about your standing before Him, and lead you by His grace. If you are free before God to marry and if it is His good will for you, we pray He will in His timing bring a faithful man who loves the Lord, that you may enter a covenant marriage that honors Him. If He calls you to remain as you are, we pray He will fill that season with fruitfulness for Him and peace in Him.

We encourage you to walk in counsel with faithful pastors in your local church who know your story, to search the Scriptures, and to continue in prayer that your life and any future marriage would be wholly for the Lord.
