Prayer For A Job And Better Health

Please pray that I find a job and clear away this depression and sense of hoplessness. I am a highly educated man with thirty years of work experience, yet am unable to find work in more than a year now. My health is failing and I am close to giving up. My family is estranged and I am facing the trials of Job all by myself. Please pray for my strength and guidance. God bless you.

Father, let your mighty presence go before this man. Open doors for him. Show him favor with potential employers. May your mighty hand be upon his life. Direct his every step and lead him in the right direction. Heal his body, stregthen and restore him completley. Let all of his needs be met with an abundance. In Jesus name, amen.

Draw DrSkippy close to You. Set his eyes on You. Help him to seek You first, to use this time to listen for whatever You are wanting to show him or teach him. If this is re-fining fire, help him to persevere. Give him victory and the desires of his heart according to Your will and perfect plan for his precious life. Take him to Job chapters 38 to 42, and let him find comfort and reassurance there. And to the Psalms, speak to him personally and loudly. May even the passages he is so familiar with, resound with a powerful and fresh message to him. Help DrSkippy to realize anew just how much You love him. I ask for your mercy and grace upon him today. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I understand being unemployed, it has been a year for me also. But God is in control, and He knows the perfect job for you...and for me. I have also walked through utter despair and hurt by myself, and I can say now that I know it was God that got me through. Do not give up or give in to despair. God knows your needs, and He WILL provide for you and see you through. Ask for His will to be done and surrender yourself to His love and grace.
