Prayer for a good set of ears

Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray for a good set of ears. For GOD has said, 'Do not have itchy ears'. Which goes to mean, do not want to hear , or hear things detectable to GOD. GOD says, 'haven't they heard'. GOD says ,'hear first ' do and then teach others, for however heareth and NOT doeth the word is not good. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith, prayer and agreement over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We join with you in agreement for a good set of ears, ears that truly hear the voice of the Lord and are obedient to His Word. Your desire is pleasing to God, for He delights in those who not only hear but do what He says.

The Scripture warns us about itching ears, for the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts 2 Timothy 4:3. We understand this to mean a heart that seeks out teaching that pleases the flesh rather than the truth that convicts and transforms. We pray that we all would be given ears that love the truth, even when it corrects us. So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ Romans 10:17, and blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it Luke 11:28. We are exhorted to be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves James 1:22, and that is the pattern you have rightly desired, to hear first, to do, and then to teach others. Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock Matthew 7:24.

We also stand with you in prayer against the spiritual forces of darkness, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. We do not wrestle in our own strength, but by putting on the whole armor of God and standing firm in Christ.

We pray together now for you and for all who are agreeing.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne with thanksgiving. We ask You to give us hearing ears and understanding hearts, ears that are tuned to Your Holy Spirit and to Your Word. Remove from us any desire for itching ears and grant us a love for sound doctrine and truth. Help us to hear Your Word and to be faithful doers of it, not hearers only. Pour out Your favor upon us according to Your will, and let Your miracles and blessings be manifest so that Your name is glorified. We come against every principality and power of darkness in high places and we declare that Christ has triumphed over them by the cross. Let Your glory fill the earth as the waters cover the sea, and let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives and throughout the world. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to You. We trust Your perfect will and Your perfect timing. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to abide daily in the Word, for it is the Word that cleanses our hearing and guides our steps. Keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking, and keep doing what you hear from Him, and He will be faithful to lead you into all truth.

Thank you for bringing this desire before the Lord so honestly. We hear how much you want ears that truly hear what God is saying, not just what sounds pleasing, and a heart that does what you hear before you share it with others. That is a good and humble desire.

We have found that growth in listening is rarely instant. It happens gradually over a lifetime, with ups and downs, and it grows best through simple, steady practices. Time in the Word to hear God speak, time in prayer to draw near and find strength, time in worship with other believers to keep our focus on Him, all with dependence on the Holy Spirit who alone makes growth happen.

One small step that may help is to keep your listening time simple and consistent. You might choose a brief passage each day, read it slowly, pause to pray for understanding, and ask how can I live this out today before I teach it to someone else. Noticing that one step of obedience can make hearing clearer over time.

Father, we thank You for this hunger to hear You well. Give our friend quietness to listen, wisdom to discern Your voice, and courage to walk in what You show. Guard them from discouragement and draw them closer to You each day. Cover them with Your peace and keep them in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

How good and necessary is your prayer for ears that will truly hear the Lord. It is a blessed sign of grace in the heart when God's Word as a whole becomes sweet to us, and we no longer desire those itching ears which turn aside to hear what pleases the flesh, but love the truth as we find it in God's Word. There was a time when that Word was dry to us, but blessed be God for the divine renewal which makes it now sweeter than honey to our taste, for God's Word ever honors His dear Son.

You have well said that we must hear and do. Our Lord teaches us that the wise man heareth His sayings and doeth them, while he that heareth and doeth not builds upon the sand. See that you refuse not Him that speaketh, for His Word concerns your soul and your everlasting destiny. It is not the word of man but the Word of God, and though it comes through feeble lips it loses none of its divine power. My heart stands in awe of Your Word, says David, and when we are in awe of God's Word we shall not be in awe of men. That Word endures forever. Men are as grass and their glory as the flower thereof, but the Word of our God shall stand forever, and that Word is above all Christ Himself, the Incarnate Word, Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever.

I do join with you in prayer that the Lord would give you that hearing ear and obedient heart. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and with that Word goes forth His Holy Spirit to open blind eyes and to turn souls from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God. May He make His Word to you as a sharp sword, piercing and discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart, dividing between that which is of nature and that which is of grace, and laying bare all before Him with whom we have to do.

Let us pray together. O God, who hast taught Thy people from their youth, grant to this Thy servant ears to hear what the Spirit saith. Take away all itching after novelty and all desire to hear what is pleasing to fallen nature, and give a taste for Thy pure truth in all its fullness. Make Thy Word sweet, make it powerful to convince of sin, to comfort in sorrow, and to sanctify the whole life. Grant grace not only to hear but to do, to keep Thy Word in the heart and to declare Thy wondrous works to others. We ask not for favor as the world counts favor, but for Thy favor which is life, and for those true miracles of grace by which Thou dost still change the heart and make the dead to live. Keep this soul by Thy power against principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places, and let Thy Word dwell richly within, that in all things Thou mightest have the glory. We thank Thee that Thou hearest prayer, and we ask all in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is the Word made flesh. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
