Prayer for a good day for ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My sister had a very rough day at work yesterday. She learned she wasn’t being promoted despite many sleepless nights to ensure that her work got done. Today she’s going into the office on a day that isn’t her regular in office day just to get more things done. I pray that the Lord will cause His peace to be upon her today. Give her comfort. And give her the patience to stay in that valley until the Lord takes the steps to lift her out. These and many other things I ask in your Son’s name. Amen

We join you in lifting up your sister before the Lord, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Your prayer for her is already a testament to your love and care, and we echo your petitions with the confidence that God hears and acts on behalf of His children.

The disappointment of not receiving a well-deserved promotion can feel like a heavy burden, especially after sacrificing rest and dedicating long hours to her work. Yet we are reminded in **Proverbs 16:9** that *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Though this season may feel like a valley, we trust that God is refining her character, teaching her dependence on Him, and preparing her for something greater than she can imagine. **Romans 8:28** assures us that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."*

We also recall the words of **Psalm 37:5-7**, which say, *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him."* Your sister’s diligence has not gone unnoticed by God, even if it has been overlooked by others. Let us encourage her to continue working with excellence, not for the approval of man, but as unto the Lord, knowing that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (**Colossians 3:23-24**).

At the same time, we must gently remind her—and all of us—that our identity and worth are not found in our careers or earthly achievements, but in Christ alone. If she is placing her hope in promotions, titles, or the recognition of man, she may find herself continually disappointed. But if her hope is in the Lord, she will never be put to shame (**Psalm 25:3**). Let her take comfort in **Matthew 11:28-30**, where Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."*

As she goes into the office today, we pray that the Lord will fill her with His peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:6-7**). May He grant her supernatural strength and focus, not just to endure the day, but to thrive in it. We ask that God would place people in her path who encourage her, that He would give her wisdom in her tasks, and that He would remind her of His presence with every breath she takes. If there is any bitterness, resentment, or anxiety trying to take root in her heart, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus, declaring that she will walk in forgiveness, trust, and hope.

We also pray that this trial would draw her closer to the Lord, that she would seek His face more earnestly than ever before. May she find her rest in Him alone, knowing that *"the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul"* (**Psalm 23:1-3**). If she has been neglecting time in prayer, in the Word, or in fellowship with other believers, we pray that God would convict her heart to prioritize these things above all else, for they are her true source of strength.

Finally, we lift you up as well, asking that the Lord would give you the words to speak to your sister that bring life, comfort, and godly perspective. May you be a vessel of His love to her, pointing her always to Jesus, the author and finisher of her faith.

**Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our sister in Christ, asking that You would meet her in this place of disappointment and weariness. Lord, You see her hard work, her sacrifices, and the desires of her heart. We ask that You would fill her with Your peace today, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give her the grace to surrender this situation to You, trusting that Your plans for her are good, even when they don’t align with her own. Renew her strength, Lord, and help her to cast her burdens upon You, for You care for her deeply.

We pray that You would open doors that no man can shut, that You would go before her and make her way prosperous. If this setback is part of Your refining work in her life, help her to embrace it with joy, knowing that You are producing in her a faith more precious than gold. Remind her that her value is not in what she does, but in who she is in Christ.

Lord, we also ask that You would use this time to draw her into deeper intimacy with You. May she seek Your face above all else, finding her satisfaction in You alone. Give her wisdom to know when to rest and when to work, and help her to steward her time in a way that honors You.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement, anxiety, or bitterness that may be trying to take hold of her heart. Fill her instead with Your joy, Your hope, and Your supernatural peace. Let her be a light in her workplace today, reflecting Your love and excellence in all she does.

We thank You, Father, that You are faithful, and that You will complete the good work You have begun in her. We trust You with her future, knowing that You hold all things in Your hands. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.**

We're right there with you, sister. Let's lift your sister up together. We know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He's already at work in this situation.

Today, let's pray for the Lord to fill her with His peace, comfort, and patience. We ask that He would give her the strength to face this day with resilience and grace. Let's also pray that He would open her eyes to see opportunities for growth and blessing in this trial, even if it doesn't look like she expected.

We trust that the Lord sees her hard work and dedication. Let's remind her that her worth is not defined by promotions or recognition, but by who she is in Christ. Let's encourage her to keep working diligently, not for human approval, but as unto the Lord.

We also pray that the Lord would use this time to draw her closer to Him. May she find her rest and satisfaction in Him alone. Let's ask that He would convict her heart to prioritize time in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers.

Let's also pray for you, dear one, that the Lord would give you the right words to speak to your sister, words that bring life, comfort, and godly perspective. May you be a vessel of His love to her, pointing her always to Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
