We join with you in prayer and agree together in Jesus' name for your dear friend and his healing, and we thank you for bringing him before the Lord with such faith and love.

We know how difficult it must be for him to live with the effects of that head injury from years ago, struggling with short term memory and with speech, and we know how heavy it is on your heart to watch him struggle. Our God is the God who heals and restores, who knows every part of the body He created, and nothing is too hard for Him. We are reminded in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

We take comfort that when we agree together in prayer, our Lord hears us. As Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. And in James 5:15 we read, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.

We pray together now for him.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up our dear friend to You. Lord, You formed his mind and his body, You know every pathway of his brain and every word he longs to speak. We ask for Your healing hand upon him. Touch the areas of his brain affected by that injury, restore what has been damaged, renew his short term memory, and loosen his tongue that he may speak clearly and with confidence. We pray for a miracle of restoration that only You can do, for Your glory. Grant him peace where there is frustration, strength where there is weariness, and hope that does not fade. We also pray for wisdom for any doctors and therapists caring for him, that You would guide their hands and give them insight, and we pray for comfort and encouragement for all who love and support him. Let Your perfect will be done in his life, and let his testimony be one of Your goodness and mercy. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in faith for him, to speak life and encouragement over him, and to continue to seek good medical care alongside prayer, trusting that God works both through miracles and through wisdom He gives to physicians. Keep praying without ceasing as taught in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, and cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you as promised in 1 Peter 5:7. We will continue to agree with you for his complete healing and restoration.

Thank you for bringing your friend to us in prayer and for sticking by him all this time since his head injury. It is hard to watch someone you care about struggle with short term memory and with finding words, and your faithful friendship matters more than you may know.

We are joining you in asking the Lord for healing and mercy for him. We know God sees him fully, knows what this injury has cost him day to day, and hears every prayer you have prayed on his behalf.

One gentle next step that can go hand in hand with prayer is to make sure he has ongoing medical support. If he is not already seeing a doctor for these memory and speech difficulties, we encourage you to help him connect with one for evaluation and care. Offering to go with him, help keep track of what the doctor says, or simply check in regularly can be a practical way to love him well while you continue to pray.

Father, we lift this dear friend to You. You know his injury and the struggles he has carried for years. We ask for Your healing touch, for comfort and strength for him each day, and for wisdom for those caring for him. Give his friend who wrote to us continued compassion and encouragement as he walks alongside him. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden for your friend and we join with you in bringing him before the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are moved by his affliction through this injury to his head and the trial that remains upon his memory and his speech. We will agree with you in prayer that the Lord, who is mighty in deed as well as in Word, would be pleased to lay His healing hand upon him. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only in His fruit but, as it were, in the very leaves of the tree of life which are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and those leaves can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

We remember also that healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in the gospel. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Our first prayer for your friend, and for all who suffer, is that he may know that pardoning hand of Christ, for to be forgiven is the greatest healing, and from that forgiveness all other mercies flow according to the will of our wise Physician.

We do not pray with doubtful speech but with confidence that all power lies wholly in Jesus Himself, and that He is able to heal more swiftly than we can speak of it. Yet we also bow to His perfect wisdom and sovereignty, trusting that whether He restores memory and speech fully in this life or sustains by grace through the infirmity, He will do that which is best for His glory and for the soul entrusted to Him.

We pray then that the Lord would restore to your friend what has been impaired, that He would strengthen his mind and loosen his tongue, that He would grant skill to those who care for him and comfort to him in every ache and trial that has followed this wound. And we pray that through this affliction your friend may be brought into closer contact with Christ, for that is the way that healing reaches sin sick souls, by being brought into contact with Him.

We will continue to remember him before the Lord with you, asking that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon him with healing in His wings, and that you both may find your hope not in the miracle alone but in the Miracle Worker Himself, our blessed Saviour Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation. May the Lord hear our united cry and do as seemeth Him good. Amen.
